I feel so lost today, not like
Other days, but like
A tidal wave
And a ship drifting off to sea
My mind
Is playing tricks, you see
It's playing mind games with me
And through the scorn and disbelief,
I'm naked to the human eye.
I am an apparition from a play,
I'm really alive
And I'm dead
The bird that leads the flock astray
With everything I do, I feel invisible
With everything thing I give,
I'm not charitable
I'm a toy that is broken and bruised
A person whose been scarred and used
Because with everything I do
No one can see my pain.
No one can see the shame,
That's beaten me black-and-blue.
No one can see the blade
See the flame
The flame of the blade
That teases my skin
No one can see what I want to do
What I am about to do
Feel what I want to do
What I want to go through
Because it isn't divisible; it isn't comprehensible.
Because no one wants to see what I do
What I am about to do
Feel what I want to do
Feel what I want to go through
Because I am invisible.
And my soul belongs to the booze.
