Stryker stops right in front of the man's desk and demands questions to him-each question about some kind of rock.

Later, many people from the small homes in front of the large building are lined up in a small group. Each of them are on their knees with their hands behind their heads. Wade speaks to all of them in a different language the rest of the team cannot understand. One man answers.

"He's telling the truth." Logan says.

"You don't even know their language, Logan."

"It's a meteor fragment."

"I know what it is." Stryker answers. "I asked him where he found it."

"Sir, Base wants out location." Agent Zero says to Stryker.

"Shut him down." Stryker turns to Wade. "Tell him everyone here will die unless he tells me where he found the rock."

The man answers and Wade translates.

"He said that it is sacred."

"Okay, fine..." Stryker looks at Victor, who digs his long talons into a man on his knees next to him.

Instantly, nearly everyone the team begins to kill every single person in that group on their knees. The only person I don't see killing anyone is Logan, who rushes over to Victor and attempts to stop him from killing the inocent people as they run off into the woods.

Soon there's no one left to kill and Victor and Logan speak quietly to one another, their expressions hard.

I go over to Stryker. "I can't do this Stryker. Not any more. I'm done. Don't come to me for any more 'missions'." I turn and stop at the edge of the clearing when I hear Logan speaking to Victor.

"I'm done." Logan says to his brother. "You coming?" He turns and walks to the edge of the clearing.

"Jimmy!" Victor shouts. "I can't just let you walk away. Jimmy!"

But Logan keeps on walking, ignoring him.

"Jimmy!"

Logan takes his army tag necklace and throws it to the ground, still ignoring Victor as he disappears into the woods. There's a minute of silence before I speak.

"I'm done too."

My wings whip out behind me.

"Elsa..." Wade says, stepping forward.

"No, Wade. I can't. This here?" I gesture to the dead bodies. "I'm done with that. I spent part of '62 and '63 doing what I thought was right. That always ended up with a dead body or two. I don't want that any more. I'm not a murderer." I pause. "That's not me." I start to walk backwards. "Anybody coming?" After a few steps, when no one moves, I turn and take off into the sky.

I spent the next six years of my life in Seattle right on the water, all the meanwhile attempting to find Erik.

He had to be a little older than I was, close to 70, since I'm apparently in my late 60's even though I still look 19 as Aston said I would be.

Still no leads as to where to find Erik. No possibilities of where he would go, no clues whatsoever of his existance.

Then I get a knock on my door, only to find none other than Stryker, one of my least favorite people in the world. Standing next to him is Agent Zero.

"And what the hell do you want?" I demand, leaning against the door.

"Six years and that's what you say?" Stryker says.

"Were you expecting a 'welcome home' party or something?"

"Not exactly." Stryker says. "But a hello would've been nice."

"Sorry, ran out of those. All that's left is a punch in the face and a kick in the ass. Would you like both or one or the other?"

"Oh shut up already, Elsa."

"At least I'm not like Wilson."

"Thank God you aren't." Stryker walks in and Agent Zero follows him.

"Sure! Come on in." I say, my voice dripping with sarcasm. I carelessly shut the door. "What do you want?"

They both turn to me.

"Logan wants to kill his brother." Stryker says.

"Victor?"

"Well he doesn't have any other brother, does he?" Agent Zero says.

"Yes, Victor." Stryker says, ignoring zero.

"Well, good for him, I don't really give a shit. What is it-do you want me to do something about it? I'm not exactly a peacemaker, you know."

"I want you to help him out."

"Me? Help Logan kill his brother? Damn it, I said I was done doing that sort of crap, Stryker! Is it just through one ear and out the other for you all the time?"

"You are a very negative person." Agent Zero says.

I grab his shoulder and slam him against the wall before he can reach for any of his guns.

"You think?" I say. "If you know what my life has been like, you wouldn't exactly be a ray of sunshine either."

"Elsa, let him go." Stryker requests.

"And why would I want to do that?"

But I let Zero go anyways and step back, looking at both him and Stryker.

"Thank you." Stryker says. "As I was saying, I want you to help out Logan."

"With killing his creepy brother." I conclude.

"Yes." Stryker confirms. "Logan's in the Canadian Rockies and Victor's coming for the one person Logan truly cares about."

"And that is?"

"A woman named Kayla. She's a schoolteacher, he's a lumberjack, and they live together." He pauses. "Victor's obviously going to succeed killing Kayla and Logan's not going to be very happy about that."

"Wait...so Logan doesn't want to kill his brother?" I ask, slightly confused.

"Not yet. They haven't spoken in six years." Stryker says. "But Logan's obviously going to want to kill Victor after Victor kills the woman he loves."

"Okay...go on."

"I can give Logan the tools to defeat him." Stryker says. "But I need you to be there to witness it and be there with Logan to make sure he stays on track ending Victor's life."

"Stay on track?" I repeat. "What would get him off track?"

"I don't know. That's why I'm making sure that doesn't happen."

"By putting me with him." I pause. "Why me? Why not someone else?"

"Because you know him."

"I barely know the guy! We've never spoken to each other before! And I seriously doubt he's ever heard my voice before."

"I told you once before that you somewhat remind me of him." Stryker says. "That's also why I'm putting you two together." He pauses. "So will you do it?"

I look behind me at the scattered papers on the desk, all relating to any possible leads on Erik. I can always try to find Erik later, maybe something will turn up when I get back because so far, there's absolutely nothing.

I look back at Stryker and Zero.

"Fine." I say, slightly reluctant. "When do I start?"

"Now." Stryker says, then walks over, opens the door, and walks out.

"Fantastic." I say with no enthusiasm. I glance at Zero and our eyes meet. I give him a cold look before walking out the door.
