"I messed up Emily. I really messed up. He doesn't want to talk to me anymore." I said, depressed

"I'm sorry..." Emily tried to comfort me

"I should have listened to you Emily." I began.  "I should have told him the truth directly. If only I did. Now what can I do? He's with Samantha, they are happy. And I am here, like I have always been and like I will always be. Lost in regret."

"Hmm-hmm."

"Why aren't you saying anything? Emily are you listening to me?" I asked

"Shh. I'm thinking of a way to solve your problem with Mark and turn everything back to normal." She said

"It's useless Emily." I said. "I shouldn't have lied to him about me not dancing. It's because of that lie that everything was ruined. I don't want to dance anymore. From now on I'm done dancing."

"That's it!" She said loudly

"What?" I asked

"I know what to do." She started. "He already know you are a really good dancer. Why don't you sing to him? He doesn't know that you can sing. And he'll see that you have much more in common that he has with Samantha and he'll come back to you!"

"And when am I supposed to sing to him. I'm not going to show up in front of his door and sing to him." I said

"The talent show." Emily said proudly

"Wait? What. Hell no!" I shouted

"You have to. He's going to be there. It's your chance. If you don't take it you'll never see him again because we're graduating this year. If this chance passes then you'll have nothing left to do. Do you want to lose him?" She asked

"No." I answered

"Will you do it?" She also asked

"No." I also answered

"Why not?" She asked surprised

"I'm not going to sing in front of the whole school! I'm just going to look dumb and desperate. Plus my sisters are going to participate too and everybody thinks I'm adopted." I said

"Good! Like this they'll know the truth. It's like hitting two birds with one rock. Please do it. It's your only chance and if it doesn't work then you'll have all your time to regret for two things instead of one." She tried to convince me

"Was that last sentence supposed to help?" I laughed

"I don't know." She laughed too. "So?" She asked

"I will do it." I answered

"Perfect! Ok let's train and tomorrow you're going to register." She said

We started with singing our favorite songs. That's how we usually forget everything that happens at school. Because that's not the first time people made fun of us, and that's not the first time we planned our revenge. But that's the first time our plan is that big.
And then we drifted a little and we did other stuff. That's how our plans usually end but not this time.
Maybe this plan will work.
