"Look, I'm sorry, but you have to stay here, I can't risk my family's life to get you to yours when you can't even get off the couch alone." Matt sighed apologetically.

"But-"

"I'm sorry." Matt repeated, cutting off Sean as he left.

Sean looked up at the ceiling and let out a low growl of frustration, wishing he could escape to see them.

He could hear rain pattering against the metal roof as he thought, the sound comforting as he closed his eyes.

"Goodnight Sean, call for any of us if you need anything!" Joey called out to Sean before the lights in the room next to Sean's went out, casting him into complete darkness.

An idea came to mind as he glanced back at the wall lined with various vehicles, an escape plan forming in his mind.

"I'll just go check on my friends and come back here before everyone else wakes up." Sean decided aloud as he shakily sat up.

"Damnit." Sean cursed softly as his abdomen throbbed in an excruciating pain that threatened to overtake him.

He managed to stand up using the arm of the couch as support, his legs nearly giving out underneath him as he focused on breathing steadily to keep the room from spinning.

I have to see my friends, I can't just rest here while they could be dying, Sean reasoned as he staggered over to the closest vehicle, which happened to be a blue quad.

Sean sat down and familiarized himself with the controls before realizing that he wasn't sure how to leave, no door in sight.

"Wait," Sean murmured as he ran his hand along the wall the vehicles were lined against.

It was actually a large hangar door that had a control panel on the side, allowing it to open up and free Sean.

"Here goes nothing." Sean whispered before slamming a hand down on the button.

The door moved up with a loud squeal of metal against metal as Sean started up the quad.

"Sean stop!"

Sean hesitated slightly when he saw Matt running after him, but he short forward nonetheless to find his friends.

Sean flicked on the lights as he drove on, the rain slapping him in the face and quickly soaking his clothes so they stuck to his now cold skin.

"SEAN!"

Sean skidded to a halt and looked behind him, Matt and Amanda running after him in the rain.

The engine of the quad purred as thunder tumbled close by, lightning cracking in the dark night sky overhead.

Should Sean go back?
