The day was spent packing the bags I had, a large suitcase, a duffel bag, and a backpack. The remainder of the day also happened to include ignoring the spamming that Audrey happened to be doing, clearly ignoring the fact that I didn't have unlimited texting.

After moving the rather heavy bags to the front of dorm around the door, I fell back onto the bed lined with stark white sheets that lined the bed, which also happened to be littered with fluffy pillows here and there, seeing I hadn't bothered to make it that morning. I glanced over to see my phone almost dead, due to Audrey. I grabbed the phone, opening it up to read the notifcations.

4:00 a.m.

379 new messages from 'Fuckface'

I couldn't help but let out a soft, pleased laugh at the name I had given Audrey in her contacts section, a smirk creeping onto my face as I proceeded to laugh for a half minute or so. As the laughs finally subsided, I couldn't help but give a soft grimace at the fact she'd been spamming all day long.

"Oh, shush, Fuckface. You'll be able to annoy me after the flight tomorrow-.."

Little did I know, I'd be an utter mess. Oh, lucky Audrey.

Eyelids closing, I drifted to a well-deserved sleep, the day of packing having been exhausting.

BlEEEp-- BlEEEEEEEEp---- BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPp--

"Shut upppp-..."

I groaned softly at the alarm that was set on my phone, quickly tapping it away in a blurry, confused state before getting up, gathering any last minute things along with getting ready for the long flight. As I opened my phone once more, I glared at a group chat I had been added to, giving me a lovely notification of around 1,000 messages.

"Jesus Crucified Christ, you all talk way too much-..."

After grabbing the heavy luggage and struggling with the door for a good 3 or 4 minutes, I was finally on my way to the airport.

--Fastforward that airport shit--

There was a problem. On the plane. With my height. I silently cursed at myself as I struggled with getting my duffel bag into the slot for cabin luggage on the plane, angry that I was so short.

I continued to struggle with this for a bit, until someone politely tapped my shoulder. I turned, only to see a man who was towering over me.

"Ah, excuse me?-..."

I turned around at this, to see a familiar face. His face was actually rather similar to what it had been from 2018, I was surprised that there weren't many changes. A male, looking about his 20's, had a slim face that was accompanied with glasses and a soft insanely friendly, smile. My eyes widened at this as I recognized the features from a time that had seemed like so long ago. It was Damian, god, it had been so long since I'd seen him. He gave a slight wave, then moving one of his hands to gesture towards the duffel bag I was struggling with, his voice rather soft and quiet, he clearly hadn't recognized me yet, or he had, but didn't say anything about it.

"Um.. Do you need help with that?-..."

Still in a bit of shock, I lightly coughed in an awkward way, replying in a rushed manner.

"Wait, woaahh-... Damian, right? What are you doing on a flight to America?"

"Well, Audrey wouldn't be quiet about the eclipse that was happening there along with the reunion, so-..."

I gave a slight laugh as he had put the luggage up in it's respected place.

"Oh, yeah... But why are you on a plane that's in France? Or, why are you in Europe, in general?"

"I ended up getting that scholarship in England for Saxophone, but all the flights booked to America were full, so this was the closest airport."

"Oh... I see. I got a scholarship here in France for clarinet, wow-... I thought you'd join the military, or something. I suppose you never really said what you wanted to do after school ended-..."

Damian gave a slight chuckle, nodding at my comment, about to give another comment before he was interrupted by announcement given by the pilot to sit in our respected seats.

I gave a slight wave and mumbled a goodbye as we had done so, laughing softly as he'd almost tripped on the way to his seat.

"Had no idea I'd see him here-... Hm.."

I laughed softly once more to myself before lifting up the cover on the window, hoping for good weather.

But, oh, no.

Raindrops had stained the windows, the outside looking rather dark. I silently cussed to myself, remembering that after all, this was usual weather for Europe. Cringing at the sound of more rain falling, I shut the cover, sinking in my seat as the plane had began to take off, a dismal mood falling over me.

"Damn planes and stupid rain-..."
