Calla's POV

My jaw dropped as I took in all of the work out equipment, sparing mats, and assorted weights and water bottles strewn about the large cold room. Memories awoke in my mind, flashing before my eyes. I could feel Hunter staring at me from the side, gauging my reaction.

Wow," I whispered, a wide set grin found its way onto Hunter's face.

He shrugged, "it’s okay."

My hand smacked out hitting his shoulder harshly, "it's impressive.”

His eyebrows shot up, "you've seen Better?"

I paused, shrugging and shoving my hands into my pockets. He snickered, throwing his arm over my shoulder tugging me along with him as he walked towards a tall, muscular, man lifting weights on the other side of the room.

He bumped fist with the man and introduced him to me as Jack. As they caught up with each other I managed to creep away towards one of the hanging sand bags. I gently pushed it with my foot, watching it sway back and forth- catching the eye of another man standing in the door that Hunter and I had entered through.

"Ditching me already?"

I jumped at his presence, glaring at him then stomping on his foot.

He winced and pouted at me, “that was mean."

I rolled my eyes and lightly kicked the bag again.

"You ever used one of these?" He motioned towards the hanging bag, his eye filled fill doubt.

I hesitated then nodded, turning my head away from him so he didn't see the slight blush on my face.

I glanced at the door again, ignoring Hunter's rambling about how Jack had been the one that introduced him to all of his friends and the arena, only to find that man from the door was staring at me again.  An Uneasiness settled in my stomach and I moved closer to Hunter.

He caught my look of nervousness, “What’s wrong?"

I glanced at him, "that man in the door keeps staring at me."

His head snapped up and he narrowed at the door. He cursed under his breath and pulled me closer towards him, “Let’s go- it’s my turn soon."

He dragged me out the door, snarling at the man that had moved to chat with another man that had been running on the treadmill. When we got back out into the mass crowd, he held on to my hand so tightly I thought my fingers were going to fall off.

I pressed into his back, shrinking away from all the sweaty and screaming men and women. Hunter slapped a man on the back and started talking to him, mentioning towards me but I could barely hear the conversation with all the shouting and cage rattling.

The man had a look of pure annoyance and kept shaking his head and waving his arms in anger. Hunter appeared to be pleading him to doing something wildly gesturing at the cage match and at me. Finally, with a look of pure exhaustion he man gave up- roughly grabbing my arm and shoving me into the small space between his side and the wall.

“You owe me- big time,” he snapped loudly with annoyance but Hunter had already fled, maneuvering threw the crowd effortlessly.

The man looked down at me; ruefully stick his hand out for me to shake.

“Isaac,” he shouted over the background noise.

“Calla!” I answered back.

He nodded and all of a sudden the noise of the crowd increased tenfold as the two steroid endused men were carried out of the area, and two new entered.

Hunter entered from the right entrance, causing woman to scream louder- if that was even possible- when he took off his shirt and popping on a mouth guard. His opponent entered from the opposite side and the crowd roared as the announcer commenced the fight. There was a blur of bodies knocking against each other as the opponent- Will I think I heard the announcer say- ungracefully threw himself on Hunter. Hunter fell back but quickly threw him off. The fight really got started when Hunter had somehow managed to knock out Will’s mouth guard – taking a few of his teeth with it.

Blood splattered some of the nearby people, and painted the floor as will throw Hunter off of him and landed a good few kicks in his ribs and back. It took him a little longer to get back off the ground after an especially solid kick to his face, but when he did he tackled Will to the harsh mat that only cushioned the fall slightly. He pinned Will down and began throwing punches directly to the nose and face. When Will didn’t tap out as Hunter had hoped, he landed one final punch – to his throat. Will’s beet red face swelled and cringed as tears streamed down his cheeks and he slammed his fist down on the mat- pleading Hunter to yield.

Hunter stepped off of will, quacking giving him a sharp kick to the ribs, as Will curled into himself on the blood and sweat filled mat. The crowd went absolutely insane with Hunter’s triumph, both in excitement and in rage. Bodies slammed up against the outside of the cage as Hunter raised his hands in victory before leaving the cage.

Isaac maneuvered through mob, me right on his heel avoiding getting lost in the wave of people. The cool outside air greeted me as I stepped outside the building, spying Hunter across the parking lot. I fast walked over to him, taking in his one black eye and variously bruised face and arms.

He smirked at me, “don’t worry- I’ve had worse.”

I gave him a flat look, “I was never worried- you’re a big boy you should be able to take care of yourself.”

His eyebrows shot up a surprised look on his face, “Wow that’s harsh Lil, I’m hurt- I really am.”

I rolled my eyes at his childishness, spinning on my heel and heading back towards the bike getting on and toying around with my helmet as I waited for him to follow me.

He chuckled and walked as slowly as possible to make his way over to me. He hopped on and we wordlessly rode home.
