I totally forgot to publish this page. It has been (doing math...) 6? years since I finished Pride. Like what.
I got my undergraduate degree in community psychology and am currently in a Ph.D. program to study inclusion and relationships in the classroom, particularly for queer and disabled adolescents. Because growing up shouldn't suck.
I now live alone in a lovely apartment with my black cat Link. I still go to therapy every week. I am still on medications for my mood (wouldn't be alive without them). I traveled to Ireland for a week in a tour group where I knew no one and had the best time of my life. I have gone on dates and fallen in love. I have come out to my parents and grandparents. So many terrible things have happened. So many good things have happened.
I still wanted to post some fanart that was made back in the day for Pride. I am really glad that this chapter was saved as a draft because this is the only place I still have these saved. Everyone's comments, art, and love for this story got me through a lot of hard times when I was doubting myself. Scrolling through old comments today made me tear up. I truly believe that writing this book and connecting with everyone made me grow for the better.
Feel free to send any artwork based on Pride to my Instagram @ claire.g8
Hope you are all well and finding joy,
Claire
