As Harper had told Dustin, she had woken both him and Steve up at four that morning. While the boys were getting ready, Harper had gone out to the nearest 24 hour shop and bought at least 25 pounds of diced meat. By the time she got home, they were ready. They threw two buckets, gloves and whatever weapons they needed into Steve's trunk and the meat in the back with Harper.

By the time this was all done, the sun had begun to rise and they were off. Harper suggested that they start at the train tracks about fifteen minutes from their house, so they were off.

By the time they'd reached it, the sun was completely up and they no longer needed torches. While Steve grabbed his bag and put on his gloves, Harper filled both buckets up, one for Steve and one for Dustin, who was talking to Lucas. Lucas was now on his way to the old junkyard.

That all happened just over half an hour ago. Harper was walking a bit off from Steve and Dustin, just far enough in front that she couldn't hear them unless they yelled at her.

"Alright, so let me get this straight. You kept something you know was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl... you just met?" Steve questioned, trying to wrap his head around the logic that was Dustin's,

"All right, that's grossly oversimplifying things." Dustin replied, throwing a handful of meat on the tracks,

"I mean, why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway?" Steve questioned,

"An interdimensional slug? Because it's awesome. Harper would have liked it." He replied,

"But Harper didn't. And even if this girl thought it was cool, which she also didn't, I... I just- I don't know. I feel like you're trying too hard." Steve explained, causing Dustin to roll his eyes,

"Well, not everyone can have your perfect hair, alright?" He sassed,

"It's not about the hair, man. The key to a girl is just... acting like you don't care." He stated,

"Even if you do?"

"Yeah, exactly. It drives them nuts." Steve explained,

"Then what?"

"You just wait until, uh," he stopped, throwing a piece of meat on the tracks, "Until you feel it."

"Feel what?" Dustin asked, not understanding,

"It's like before it's gonna storm, you know? You can't see it, but you can feel it, like this, uh... electricity, you know?" He tried explaining the best he could,

"Oh like in the electromagnetic field when the clouds in the atmosphere-"

"No, no, no, no, no. Like a- like a sexual electricity." Steve rephrased. Dustin immediately understood.

"Oh." Was all he said.

"You feel that and then you make your move."

"So that's when you kiss her?" Dustin asked,

"No, whoa. Slow down, Romeo." Steve held his arm up threw the meat to the ground,

"Sorry."

"Sure, okay. Some girls, yeah, they want you to be aggressive. You know, strong, hot and Heavy, like a... I don't know, like a lion." Dustin Hummed in response, understanding what he meant, "But others you gotta be slow, you gotta be stealthy, like a... like a ninja." He explained,

"What type is Nancy?" Dustin asked curiously,

"Nancy's different. She's differ t to other girls." Steve explained. In the back of his mind, he had a hard time believing what he said, but he could take it back now. Anyway, he's always believed Nancy was special.
