Brooke, *voice breaks*

It seems like a decade had passed since that fateful car crash that took you away from me but the truth is it's only been two years. Two long years I've spent awake in bed, blaming myself for what was beyond my control. Twenty-four painful months thinking about all the what if's and the what could have's if we didn't have a fallout that night. Seven hundred and thirty days asking questions no one could answer. And, I guess when time passed that much you'd just grow tired of grieving because you know that no amount of crying and begging could bring the person you love back to life.

Trust me, I'd know because I've tried.

Well, I never thought I'd get a chance to say this - When I left Dr Kavanagh's office yesterday, I felt free. Do you know why?

Because I'm finally strong enough to do what I should have done a year ago - courage to let you go.

A part of me will always love you, Brooke but I can't spend forever hurting myself because of what happened to you. It's about time I accept the fact that you're dead and you're not coming back again. It's about time I start living my life and start being happy again

And, I hope that wherever you are right now, you're happy too.
