Chapter 5

Gerards P.O.V.

I throw Frank a smile as we leave for second bell. I'm not sure if I have that class with him.

"Gee! Gee, wait!" I hear Frank yell and soon I hear him walk up behind me.

"Sorry. I'm slow at getting ready to leave." He pauses and catches his breath. Little people. I chuckle to myself. "I'm not used to people waiting for me. Thanks for that by the Way. Also, can I see your schedule?"

I smile and hand it over, watching his small hand scribbling down my classes.

"Looks like we have every bell together, Gee Way." he smiles. I feel my heart melt. No Gerard. Stop it. No more Bobs. "I hope we get to know each other."

I smile but hear Mikey yelling at me in my head. I hear him screaming at me to walk away, but for some reason I can't. I hear him saying to not get hurt again. I hear my parents yelling that I should be ashamed. I hear Bob saying to go for it. I hear Mikey again, but this time, he's real- and standing in my Way, blocking my Frankie. I scold myself this time. He's not yours.

"Hey. Yo. Way." He snaps at me like a dog and I swat his hand away. "We need to talk." He says and glares at Frank.

I quietly follow, tossing a look back at Frank saying sorry and that I'll see him (hopefully) in third bell. Or in the hallway.

Me and Mikey reach the stairs and I sit, putting one hand in my hair and the other on my knee.

I start to talk, but Mikey shouts at me, drawing attention. "What the hell Gerard? You know better! This happened before. I don't want to bring him up but dammit Gerard, you can't be so irresponsible with that Frank kid-"

I stand up quickly interrupting him. "I'm not being irresponsible, Mikes," I say, voice cracking. I'm on the verge of tears. Not good."This is what he would want me to do." I pause and run my hand through my hair. "I need to move on." I look away. "I think I like him, Mikey. I'm sorry."

I storm off like a toddler and run into someone in blind rage. It's Frank.
