I turned down the hallway. Haymitch told me to meet up with him after Cinna took my clothes from the parade. As I was dressed in my outfit from earlier, I was ready to get back. I looked down at my shoes briefly, sighing. I was lost as I'd been "permitted" to find my own way back, according to Haymitch. Man if someone can ever get on my nerves... its him. I bump into someone. I glance up quickly and see the deepest blue eyes I've ever since since Daddy's. My tongue momentarily forgets all words. Thankfully what feels like two milennia for me is actually about two seconds. "I'm sorry." I say, "I wasn't looking wher I was going....obviously." The tall boy, he was about 6'2", smiles. "Obviously." His voice is about medium pitch, normal for boys after puberty.

Recognition lights up the brilliantly colored eyes. "Wait. You're the girl who was on fire right? From District 12?" I nod. He runs a hand through his sandy blonde hair asking, "What's your name? The billboards didn't list it." This boy certaintly didn't look or talk like the other Capitol citizens. Did he prefer dressing normally like Cinna? Or was he from a District? I answer briefly, "I'm Katniss. Katniss Everdeen." He extends a strong, sturdily built hand. Obviously this guy has massive strength, at least more than Peeta. He says, "I'm Cato. Cato Jacov." I shake, but not before I see a woman, about in her twenties, call for him. He lifts a hand in farewell, walking off as he says, "I'll see you in training!" The sickening feeling that had gradually been growing near my gut turns out to be correct. The beautiful boy that caught my eye is a tribute. Meaning I will have to kill him if I want to get home.
