Prologue
"Maybe I know, somewhere
Deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone,
Or keep a straight face
And I've always liked this
Keeping a comfortable, distance.
And up to now
I had sworn myself that I'm content
With loneliness
Because none of it was ever worth the risk," I sang along as I dragged my razor against my forearm.
Walking into my bathroom I opened my medicine cabinet searching for my pills. "Good 'ole Seroquel," I muttered taking the bottle in my hands.
I removed the cap with shaking hands before setting it down on the sink. Turning on the sink faucet I reached for a plastic "Dixie" cup before putting it under the faucet letting the water fill. I turned off the faucet sighing.
"You are the only exception," I heard my I-Pod play from inside my room.
"Oh Hayley, I thought I was your only exception," I said sadly before taking a gulp of water. Grabbing the pill bottle I poured a good amount of pills into the palm of my hand. "You were my only exception," I whispered bringing the pills to my mouth. I felt hot tears stream down my face as I swallowed the pills.
I felt lightheaded. Dropping to the floor I suddenly began to see darkness.
"And I'm on my way to believing
Oh, and I'm on my way to believing."
