Punching Bag

I want to know

how it feels like

to have someone 

who loves you,

appreciates you,

cherish you,

cares about you,

protects you.

I want to know 

how it feels like

to have someone

who showers you compliments,

showers you kisses,

hugs you

like in the movies.

Reality check,

This is the real world.

No one wants to be with me.

Nothing.

He treated

me differently,

would comment about how

ugly I look,

I'm fat,

worthless,

I don't deserve all the happiness in the world.

Therefore whenever

he's angry,

he threw a glass bottle

at me,

punches me

till I bleed profusely. 

I am his punching bag.

I can't escape. 

He kept saying

that he's sorry,

he loves me,

he didn't mean

to hurt me.

Yet the next day,

he continues to 

abuse me.

Over

and

over

again.
