Chapter 4

A million things were going threw my mind. Paige just stared at me, watching me cautiously, as if she was about to restrain me at any movement. " Are you okay?" She asked me like I was a injured animal again. I was gonna be okay, I always made it through. "Yeah." I smiled to her. "Okay..... Don't claw my eyes out or something." She said warily. I laughed slightly. "So that's why I get tingles when I'm with him?" I asked quietly. "Yeah, mates are ment to be, sort of like soul mates or.... What's it called? Oh! Yeah love at first sight. You can reject him but it really pulls on both of your hearts, some go into depression. Blah blah. It's really hard to reject a mate anyway, you'd have to be a really big doushe-bag." She took a breath. " We're going to the pack house now. I just want you to know, don't worry the pack is going to love you. The are really friendly, and it's not everyday a werewolf has a human mate." She stopped as we pulled onto a dirt road surrounded by trees. " Are the pack dynamics the same as in books?" I asked " Yeah about the same. Our pack is very strong, so were up in the top 20 of the world. We're the strongest in Canada though." I nodded and gazed out the window. There was dark green forrest surrounding the small road. It was breathtaking, and slightly spooky. The pine trees blew in the slight breeze and the setting sun shined threw the treetops, giving a shattered light effect. We drove for sometime. " Hey, Paige. What's the two beefy guys names in the front?" I said lowly, yet they still turned and looked at me. They both turned their bodies and stuck out their hands. " My names Tyler, Luna." The brown eyed one with blond hair said to me. I took his giant hand. " And my name is Randall." The hazel eyed one said. He had dirty blond hair, was slightly tanner and more muscular. They both were handsome, so far I hadn't met a ugly werewolf. Even the women were gorgeous, including Paige. "Nice to meet you two." I smiled " You two brothers?" " Yes, Randall's a year and a half older." Tyler chimed. " But, I can still whoop him." He stated with a mischievous smirk. Randall just shook his head and shoved Tyler. I was going to like the both of them, I could tell. I suddenly got a shiver up my spine. " Paige, when he claims me, do I shift?" I had read about this before, about humans mated to alphas having the ability to shift after. The alpha's claim put werewolf in their blood, the Luna had to be strong for the pack too. Paige's answer snapped me out of my worries. " It happends only sometimes, I mean only if you have werewolf in your bloodline somewhere, but even then you wouldn't be considered full wolf, you'd be a lynx wolf. They are only a little

weaker and don't heal as quickly. Otherwise no you won't shift." She reassured me. I took a breath and the trees broke into a long open range for sometime the Forrest took over again. " Does Blake have family, like siblings? " " He did have a twin brother, Steven, but he left a long time ago, off in search of his mate, he became a rogue so him and Blake wouldn't have to fight for alpha position. He leads his own pack now. They are about 30 miles east of here. The Lonely Survivor Pack. " She looked kind of in a daze after she told me this. I wondered why they had picked that name but didn't ask. We soon pulled up to the pack house and Tyler helped me out of the SUV. The house had a old Spanish style roof and was 3 stories, cherry blossom trees were spread out around the yard, the pink buds floated in the air making it smell sweet, and littered the ground. I loved it. The house itself was a tan color with brown highlights. It had arches in the front and the bottom story windows. There were at least 15 bedrooms. Not counting the other house a little ways back on the acre of land cleared out. Behind all that there was woods of course. Paige snapped her fingers in my face to gain my attention. " So, I assume you like the house, how about I show you around and to your and Blake's room?" She asked me with her hands on her hips and a small smile played on her lips. She knew that last part got to me. That little devil. I was going to be alright. " Oh and welcome to Hidden Whispers Pack." She said as a red sports car came speeding up the drive. The door opened and Blake slide out like a snake and made a bee line for me. He scooped me up bridal style and stuffed his face in the crook of my neck. " Are you okay?" He asked me softly. " Yeah, just fine." The tingles on my skin made me want to be closer to him. I wrapped my arms around the stranger and breathed in and out his scent. He shivered as I exhaled on his bare skin. I loved him already and it scared the living daylights out of me.
