Authors note: Okay so I just wanted to let you know that while Kelsey does want to win the bet, at the same time she really doesn't care trying hard. So if one second she says she's going to play innocent and the next she's all over a guy, it's because she does what she wants. She like's to do what she feels like. (:

P.s. : I was going to make character list on the side but i decided against it. If you want one, let me know!!

Feeling confident and refocused after my little failure with Noah, I sprinted up my steps and unlocked my ugly forest green front door. I pulled it closed behind me and leaned against it to get a hold of my breath. I looked up at the clock which read 4:00; I had to be on the field by 5:45 so I figured I better start getting ready. I ran up the steps to my room at the end of the hallway and slammed my door closed. Heading into my bathroom, I turned the water on and headed back into my room so I could lay out my cheerleading outfit out on the bed. The uniform consisted of a long sleeve red and white half top and a short skirt with a slit in the side, leaving very little to the imagination.

As I climbed in the shower the warm water felt good washing away the thoughts of school, making me feel like all of my flaws were being swirled down the drain. Aside from running, my second favorite thing was being in the shower. If I could spend all day in it without getting pruned, I would. When I was done I grabbed a white cotton towel and wrapped it around my body before heading to the mirror and doing a light dusting of makeup. As I was finishing the touches on my perfect cheerleading ponytail, my computer dinged from the corner of my room. I jumped over the bed and sat down in the chair before clicking on the Facebook notification button. I had a new friend request, it was from Noah Greyson.

“No freaking way,” I smiled to myself and immediately hit accept. Maybe he had noticed me, just not like most guys that had before. I couldn’t help but feel great; Lacey probably hadn’t gotten a friend request. I once again laughed to myself and grabbed my cheer bag before heading down the stairs and to the front door. “Mom, I have a game tonight, be back later!”

“Oh no you don’t,” My mom came out from the kitchen, her arms crossed. “I asked you to go shopping.”

“Mom, you told me you would.” Mom was clearly out of her hung-over state and was now onto the angry, crazy one. I would much rather prefer the first one.

“Whatever, just go get them after the game. I want you home by 10:30.”

“Mom, we have a team gathering after every game, you know that.” The team gathering was actually a party that ran till about three in the morning but my mom didn’t need to know that and probably wouldn’t care anyway.

“Just be back by 10:30 Kelsey. End of discussion.”

I rolled my eyes but didn’t say anything back, I knew better. Instead I opened the door and ran out to my car, the one my dad had bought me to keep quiet about the affair. It was a red vintage mustang. For some reason it had called to me and I had immediately wanted it. Even after my dad had told me it was a piece of shit.

I reached the school with fifteen minutes to spare and headed to the locker room to find the rest of the team. Quietly I opened the door to the locker room and headed inside, it was completely quiet. About to round the corner, I could hear voices talking and I paused, leaning against the wall to listen in. I wasn’t eavesdropping, just catching up on gossip. There was a clear difference.

“She’ll never be able to do it; I’ll be captain in no time.” That voice was a no brainer; it clearly belonged to Lacey who was once again going on about the Noah thing.
