Somewhere between the lines we tell

The truth lies and we both know it so well

Yet we are stuck on the false pretense, pretend and pretend

You and I found out long ago there is nothing left to mend

I love you, cross my heart and hope to die

Every time I see that sparkle in your eye

And how many times we avoided the goodbye

Separate sides on that bed

Remember all the tears you made me shed

What happened to the person I once knew?

Lately you've done nothing than with my emotions- screw

A stranger is what you've become

Of your love all I get is a crumb

But if you ask me if I'd give it all up

Am I ready to put up with more crap

And take one more leap

Into this hell of a relationship in which we sweep

I'd answer in a heartbeat you're the one I'd love to be with

And how I don't get what happened to the guy once so sweet

To much to grasp it's enough with the pretense and lying

I'm sick and tired of crying

This is my final goodbye

A day when I gave up another try
