A Lovers' Moon

A lover's moon rests now on high

Upon her throne of stars

A velvet cloak adorns her

As cosmic breezes sigh,

Way down below, a silent earth

Pays homage in the night

Thankful for the guiding stars

Dressed in their silver light.

She gently pulls the seas to shore

To kiss the golden sands

She lights the hearts of lovers

As in silence they touch hands.

Both gaze at her in wonder

Her moonscapes fill their eyes

She bathes their souls in silver love

A gift of sweet surprise.
