Running, my feet pounded against the pavement, I panted for breath as the darkness chased after me. The more I ran, the harder breathing became, I could feel my heart pumping ten times faster than it should be. My body got weaker.
There wasn't much more I could do. I was going to lose this race. Tears fell down my worn, beaten face as I kept up my pace. I wouldn't give up. I couldn't.

No. No. No. Go! I tripped, my face slamming into the ground, scraping along it and I scrambled to regain my footing, looking at the darkness which loomed ever-closer. Please God, no. I rolled, jumping up as quickly as possible before taking off into an alley to the left of me. Almost at the end of the narrow space, I saw him.
He stood perfectly still, smiling at me in a tuxedo, looking absolutely drop dead gorgeous and beautiful. How could someone be so wonderfully glorious?

I ran to him, clinging to his shoulders like they were my anchor to this world. The tears came faster, I could feel the darkness moving closer... closer.
Please dont take me yet. I just got where I always needed to be.
"Dont let it take me away," I cried into My Perfection's neck, clinging to him for all I had. When I looked up at him, i could see the sadness in his eyes, but he smiled. Caressing my cheek, he kissed me softly.
He wrapped his arms around me, holding me tightly. "I wont baby, I wont."
I tightened my grip on him, hugging him around the neck as i felt the darkness creeping.

"I love you, I love you so much. Do you understand that? I fucking love you. Dont forget, dont you dare ever forget that." I looked him in the eyes, ignoring my own tears and wiping his away. I spoke with as much passion as I could muster from within my broken body as the Darkness trailed up my legs, to my abdomen, pressing into my chest.
Breathing became harder, and I struggled to keep breathing, staring into My Perfection's eyes. My eyes dried up, and hardened; become fierce with the love and hope that I had for him. The darkness hit my throat, making it impossible to catch my breath any longer but still I did not cry out, I did not beg. I smiled, wiping away more of my love's tears as we tightened our grasps around each other.
"I love you," he whispered, right before the Darkness tried to jerk me away from him. "Dont go." Another jerk, this time it accomplished the obstacle of unlocking our bodies and I flinched as the cold feeling of the darkness covered my mouth.. my nose.. my eyes.
