"Alison you will never in a million years guess who I just met!"
"who?" She replied sluggishly.
"My dad" I said, eyes wide, still shocked, "he's a doctor he gave me his number Alison this can be our chance to get our own place away from your mom and my mom!!!!"
"Don't get your hopes up baby, he left you then, he could just be faking his kindness now be careful."
"She's free to leave. Would you like a wheelchair going out Alison?" the nurse asked.
"Nope" And with that we left. We lived in the car for a few days. Eventually, I called my dad and he provides us with money for rent each month. We enrolled back into highschool. After we finished our year as juniors we went to Prom together. Alison wore a beautiful light blue sparkly cupcake dress with her black converse and even got named prom queen! She got accepted into Princeton University and studied law while I went to school to become a writer. Currently, I am an acclaimed author and Alison is a very successful lawyer in child abuse crimes. Together, we live in a decent sized house all on our paychecks alone without help from dad and we adopted 2 daughters from Cambodia, Carla and Cara. I love Alison and will never forget the first time we met.
