I pull him closer, and wrap my arms around his neck. We both pull away slowly and I fix my makeup real quick and we go back into the restaurant. My mom looks at me, and points to the two seats next to her. I'm guessing she wanted me and Shawn to sit there. He was still holding my hand and I am pretty sure my mom noticed. And she noticed the mascara streaks left on my face. My mom leans towards me and whispers in my ear, "So you two are lovebirds now?" She winks and smiles. I blush. I've blushed so many times this trip and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. I nod, and she asks me why I was crying. I told her that it was nothing. Shawn's hand was holding mine on my leg. The waiter came over to our table and asked everyone what they wanted to drink. Everyone was having their own little conversations among themselves and I was talking to Shawn, I was surprised we even had anything more to talk about. It seemed like we had talked about everything. He explained to me about Magcon and what occurred at each one. I was really interested; it seemed so fun for all of the fans.
Shawn and I shared fettuccine alfredo and when we finished we got back into the car. I check Twitter, and all of a sudden I see my mentions are filled with hate tweets and pictures of me crying in the front of the restaurant, and of me and Shawn holding hands. I click one of the pictures and I show Shawn. We were both confused as to how they took those pictures without anyone noticing. I didn't care about the ones of us holding hands, I mostly cared that a picture of me crying was all over the internet. I start to tear up, Shawn grabs my phone and starts rubbing my back. He pulls out his phone and tweets, "@ShawnnMendes: wow this isn't right at all". It's a long drive back, and there is a lot of traffic so I lay my head on Shawn's lap and fall asleep to him rubbing my back and playing with my hair. I wake up on Shawn's bed to him playing his guitar quietly. He sees my eyes open and comes over and sits next to me on the bed while I'm still laying down wrapped in blankets. "Well look who decided to wake up at 2 in the afternoon."
I sit up and put my arm around his back. He kisses my forehead. I stretch and he asks what we should do because everyone else was doing something already. I asked where everyone was. "They all left to go sightseeing like they do every time you visit. They let you and I stay here because it didn't look like you were going to get up anytime soon." I grab his hand and tell him that we should go on a walk, like we did when we were kids. He laughs. I drag him out of the house and I run to the school. Shawn yells after me, "You like running don't you?" And he chases after me. I get to a bench and sit down. Shawn catches up and sits down next to me. I kiss him, and he pulls me closer. I wrap my hands around his neck and he starts rubbing my leg. I slowly put my hand in his front pocket, and grab his phone. I quickly break the kiss and hold up his phone and taunt him, running away. He runs after me and speeds up to me, grabbing my waist. He sweeps me off of my feet, holding me in bridal position. "Now give me my phone back." I shake my head. He pretends like he is going to drop me, letting go of me for a quick second, causing me to shriek. He laughs, and his eyes crinkle. I type his passcode into his phone, and open up twitter, and he has thousands of mentions. He looks at me and says, "What are you doing?!" I say, "I'm going to reply to the fans that you don't pay attention to." He gets defensive and says, "I DO PAY ATTENTION TO THEM!" I wink, and look back at his phone. I tweet saying, "@ShawnnMendes: hey guys im going to tweet off of shawns account haaaa –Emily <3" He jokingly rolls his eyes and lets me down on the bench. I reply to a tweet that says, "you and shawn are the cutest oMG" with "aw thanks *pink heart emoji* ily –Emily". I give Shawn his phone back because he was pestering me. "What did you post?" He asks. "Nothinggggggggg..." I emphasize the G. I go on my phone and I see a text from a random number saying, "Hey beautiful."
