Why do people think the "a" in LGBTQIA+ stands for ally??? It stands for asexual.

Let me put it this way:

If you're supporting  community as an ally,  you're not in it. A good example of this idea is animals. If you support animal rights, does that make you a fucking koala bear? No, it doesn't. If you're a white person supporting the african american community, that doesn't make you an african american. If you're a cisgendered straight person, YOU'RE NOT IN THE LGBT COMMUNITY. LGBT allies are called straight allies for a reason. AN ALLY IS NOT PART OF THE ACTUAL COMMUNITY.

If you're not cis, you're LGBT. If you're not heterosexual and heteroromantic, you're LGBT.

Asexuals, like me, are NOT heterosexual. We're LGBT. Seeing people shun them out of the community and replacing their letter with something not even in the community is wrong. You're trying to erase their identities. Us asexuals are oppressed enough, and having our identities erased for allies isn't helpful.

Sorry I needed to rant about that, sorry if I offended anyone.
