There he was, Travis Miller, the new guy at school. He was sitting by himself at the far corner of the cafeteria, away from everyone else, reading a book, not bothering to eat the school lunch. Travis, from my perspective, is amazingly gorgeous with his spiked, brownish blond hair, his pale skin, his amazingly gorgeous light blue-green eyes. Travis had on a black leather jacket with a plain gray shirt, dark blue jeans and black chain necklace with the shape of three crescent moons each one was a darker shade of blood red and silver that was hanging around his neck.

I know its kind of weird for me to like Travis already when I barely even know him...okay, I haven't said one word to him since he's first arrived here. I have Travis for English and gym, but he doesn't do anything in the classes at all, he doesn't talk to anyone, doesn't do any of his work, and barely on his first day he got in trouble in English because he wasn't paying attention, he also back talked to the teacher. Yea, from right then on, he was labeled 'bad boy' that's what he was known as now according to some people in school but those people don't even know Travis, I don't like to judge until I actually get to know the person.

"Just go up and talk to him, Sky, you've been starring at him since he sat down," my friend, Madison, commanded as she took a sip of her sprite.

"I don't think so," I disagreed while I played around with my salad.

Madison sighed. "If you don't go over there in the next five minutes, I'll go over there, myself, and bring him over here," Madison threatened me. "What will it be?"

I thought about it for a bit. Let's see if Madison brings Travis over here then that'll be embarrassing for me because he'll might get the idea that I like him. . .or I can just go up to him and just make a friendly conversation? I think I'll go with my second option.

"What's your choice?" questioned Madison as she began to get up from her seat.

"No, no, no, you sit your ass down, I'll go," I stated as I got up from my seat and headed towards where Travis was sitting.

I took deep breaths, in and out, to calm myself down bit. I was walking at a slow pace on purpose because I was thinking over of what I should say and be careful of what I do say to him. Its not like I haven't talked to guys before, I'm actually really comfortable talking with them, its just that Travis seems different from other guys I've known. I finally reached his table.

Travis looked up from his book and up to me as he gave me a welcoming smile. Oh, gosh his smile is gorgeous. I just need to relax, he's just one guy, then why am I so freakin' nervous about this? I've never been nervous around guys before even when I thought they were cute.

"Hey," I greeted Travis.

"Hey, yourself," Travis greeted back. "Want to sit down?" I couldn't find my voice so I just nodded and took the seat next to him.

"I'm Sky Smith, by the way," I introduced myself.

"Travis Miller," Travis said giving me a heart warming smile. "So, why did you want to come talk to the new guy, no one ever talks to the new guy?"

Instead of telling Travis the truth of why I actually came here, I'll just tell him a lie. I wasn't going to tell him the truth and say, 'I came over because I think your really cute and I like you, so do you want to go out sometime?' Yea, right I'm not that crazy. Instead of saying that I lied, "I just figured since your new and all, I thought maybe you'll want to make a new friend?"

"And you thought right," Travis chuckled and continued, "at least its someone as beautiful as you."

I couldn't help but blush a bit from his compliment. "Smooth talker aren't you?" I joked.

"Maybe I am," Travis joked back

I couldn't help but laugh at this and soon Travis joined in with me.

After that day, Travis and I have been inseparable, we did mostly everything together. Then after two months of knowing each other and becoming the best of friends, Travis had asked me out, of course, I said yes. Travis is the most amazing guy I've ever met, he's different from the other boys I've known before. . .very different but I didn't care. Dating Travis, this whole relationship, will be wonderful and I know it for sure. It was like love at first sight for me.

Boy, was I dead wrong.
