This is Beatrice, Joseph's deceased daughter that was stuck in limbo since she passed from a car running her over. Most of her wounds are on her left side, which is where the car had hit her. She could follow her father around when she feels to do so, however, because she died as a child, she has no knowloge about appearing in the physical world as a ghost, so she's stuck in an empty world until she figures everything out. To pass time, she often just stares at a heart locket Joseph gifted her with to make sure she retina her memories.
