Four: Little maid is a devil

The group of boys just stared at the she-devil. She was now staring them down, a strange glint in her murky eyes. It instilled a level of fear into their very souls—something these Young Masters had never experienced before.

One stepped forward—obviously the daredevil of the group. He tried to still his clanking legs, though failing as he stared down the tiny woman.

"Oi! Little maid! Fight me, I'll beat you! Hand-to-hand!" Ayva turned to the boy, a condescending look in her eye. All the males in the area gulped, especially Daniel. He had almost started shaking in his boots in utter fear of what Ayva would do to the poor child.

She stepped forward, cracking her knuckles and rolling her neck with a knowing smirk on her face. "Do you really want to fight me, little boy? Are your qualifications even high enough?"

The boy gulped, his pride diminishing.

"The name's Reece. You better remember it well!"

She grinned at him. "Why should a little child like yourself get remembered?" This little girl dared to insult he—a General's son—and dare say he would lose to such a small woman! His family was some of the top elites in the world and they had spared no expense or effort to help their son grow and become the most dangerous amongst his age group. Never before had he felt this amount of fright, even when facing his father.

The boy stared at the hard woman in front of me, trying to calculate her potential. She just smirked.

"It would be your best bet to go against me with weapons. After all, I am only an amateur in wielding a dagger and a beginner in any other weapon." The boy almost sighed in relief. He nodded, pulling out a sheathed sword from his side. The blade looked much like a katana except it emitted a strange aura, a deathly one. The colour of the deadly blade was black with red lines running through it, forming patterns foreign to both Daniel and Ayva.

Ayva smiled back, reaching into her dress—much to everyone's embarrassment—and pulled out a small, unextraordinary dagger. Excluding one, all the five man-boys scoffed at her weapon. How could something that small be so powerful as to compete with Reece's legendary spirit blade?

The only male who hadn't scoffed at her expense was the one who had an expertise in weaponry. Previously, the most brilliant weapon he had seen was definitely the Emperor's personal one but it paled in comparison to the girl's.

He instantly recognised what her dagger was. It was one of the rarest and most sought-after metals in the world, Death Dragon Metal. A metal so hard to come across even the Dragon royals themselves had only publically introduced a single sword made out of it.

Though it took on the appearance of an ordinary metal you would find on the streets, it was the exact opposite. This metal was considered to be something found once in a million years and was one of the sharpest materials one could come by. After all, it comes from the legendary Death Dragon which has not been seen for the last hundreds of thousands of years.

To him, this woman was a goddess.

If he clung to her, he would most likely get to see more precious materials!

And with that firm resolve in the front of his mind, he settled down to watch the goddess fight the mortal.

Soon after it started, the match ended.

To the surprise of many—she won. That little devilish dinosaur lady won. And she didn't seem to try too hard either and instead of being serious, she rather easy-going and relaxed about the whole ordeal.

Daniel felt sort of sorry for most of the boys but the one he gave his heart out to was the General's son. He shook his head, looking at the borderline crying boy. This is what happens when you go against a devil, there was no hope from the beginning. Ayva was certainly no amateur in using a dagger, she was trained by professionals and had somehow gained real-life experience much to Daniel's confusion.

Even though they were best friends, she couldn't tell or show him some things.

Like her camera roll.

Or her secret room of yaoi that she claimed not to have but he knew she had it. After all, where else could she disappear to inside the house? Every room had a camera in it for protection in case of intruders. Of course, the cameras inside bedrooms would only be activated if someone sets off a trap (which is inevitable for anyone outside their closest friends) or if a person sets off the alarm.

Ayva smiled, petting the Raptors scaled heads a couple of times before once again linking arms with her best friend and dragging him inside the house. They both seemed somewhat unfazed by the absolute luxury packed inside this house and wandered around, trying to find their designated room.

Soon, a large red, orange and blue bird flew and landed on a perch near Ayva's head. It let out a loud squawk, alerting the two strangers to its presence. Daniel looked at it, quickly analysing the unusual creature's appearance.

Approximately fifty centimetres with a mass around a kilo. Daniel may have been horrible at many subjects but in maths and science (and dinosaurs) he was incomparable! Paired with this strange world filled with extinct prehistoric animals, he could only say this was an Archaeopteryx!

He turned to Ayva who seemed to be having some form of communication with the feathered dinosaur, excitingly whispering into her ear. "Avs! It's an Archaeopteryx!"

The female in question just ignored her best uke friend, whistling at the bird-like dinosaur. Soon, it tilted its small head before letting out another squawk and jumping upwards, flapping its powerful wings.

Daniel stood still in amazement as the large dino-bird landed on Ayva's covered arm. It looked happily up at her and she returned the fond gaze. Soon, it started to set off its chatter again. She nodded along to it, seemingly focused on the twitters of the creature.

"So our room is that way? Thank you very much, Mane Lumen!"

~~*~~

There it is.

I was too lazy to proofread.

Also, Mane Lumen translates to "The light in the morning"
