The ride was called 'The Swirl'. And it was essentially, a small ride which you were securely strapped in and you were spun or 'swirled' around for three minutes.
It made the boy feel sick afterwards.
The boy retched up his earlier meal in the trashcan nearby with the girl holding his hand and rubbing his back and mumbling in her soft calm voice. She ducked her head to level his and smiled warily.
He shoved a hand in his jean pocket and pulled out a small tin of mints. Gulping a few down to hide the putrid smell, the boy returned the wary smile and straightened up.
"Are you okay?" she asked, still tightly holding his hand. The boy nodded but still looked a bit uneasy. She smiled toothily up at him and gently pulled him towards largest line in the whole arena.
