Chapter 8: Mysterious Killer

Chapter 8

The air was finishing and the darkness was covering her eyes. The wind blew hardly at that moment, when the full moon lighted up the whole wood. The moon was so huge that it was covering everything. The stars, the sky. 

Mami couldn't breath anymore. Her feet and legs were shaking, like the ground was losing the air and it was suffocating like her. She was holding her hands on the arm of the person behind, but it wasn't letting go of her. The tightening was becoming too hard. Suddenly she felt a top of the knife on the neck too.

-Le..Let me go... -Mami could hardly say these three words.

-I'm sorry.. -She heard a whisper to her ear. The touch of the knife was getting more painful. Mami closed her eyes and was getting ready to die, when suddenly the air came back to her. She breathed out hardly and stared at the ground under her feet. It stopped shaking, like her legs, but the only thing that was making her nervous now was the person behind her. She didn't want to turn back, but soon or late it would happen anyway. 

Suddenly, when Mami thought, that she was free and now could breath freely, someone again from the back held her mouth and started dragging her away from the cave, where the innocent  Tomomi was sleeping on the ground. Mami and the person behind her walked in the dark corner behind the cave. It let go of Mami. She turned around and saw a tall and thin  human with a hat on head, so she couldn't see was it a boy or a girl. 

-Who are you? -Mami whispered.

-Wait a minute... -She heard a male voice, that made her think deeper who was it. -Do you remember it? -suddenly he stratched out a little, tiny toy made of thread. It had blonde, curly hair, pink short dress and buttons instead of the eyes.

Mami's eyes got widen and the tears reached the eyes' borders. She blinked and the tears fell down on her cheeks.

-Kuuga?! -she got to the tall boy standing in front of her, closer, than she held her hands high and took off the hat from him. 

-Hello Chumichuu! -he smiled and started waving a toy in front of her.

-You still remember it.. -Mami smiled. Her face was all wet. Kuuga wiped the tears from her eyes and stared at her.

-How could I forget it when it was a name that i called you first...

FLASHBACK  -10 years ago-

-Come on stupid bike!! -Mami was shouting in the middle of the road while hitting the bicycle's wheel. It was stuck on the road and couldn't move. Mami didn't want to leave that ruined thing here, becasue it was a present from her parents. The road was empty. She decided to leave it after thinking for some minutes, when the loud noise of car's bell was heard. It was moving faster and faster. Mami started shouting, but her feet was stuck in the bike. She couldn't move from that place, when suddenly someone threw her on the other side of the street. 

Mami fell down, her knee was bleeding and the shoe, seemed like was left with the bike. 

-Are you okay? -she heard a little boy's voice, who was staring at her.

-I'm fine...-she mumbled and held the tears.

-Chumichuu..

-Eh.. what?

-Your name from now on for me.. I was calling like this my clumsy cat.. you look like her hhahahaha - he laughed and helped her to stand up.

-What's your name? -Mami asked in a loud tone of voice.

-Kuuga Sakurai.. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! -he exclaimed and left Mami amazed with his energy and enthusiasm.

PRESENT -10 years later-

-Remember that accident about your bike? -laughed Kuuga.

-hahaha.. yes... -Mami smiled and stared at the ground. 

-I'm sorry that we had to meet like this after 10 years.. -he whispered and tightly hugged Mami.

-Me too..-she mumbled and touched with her face his shoulder. -But, can I ask something? -Kuuga was silent. -Can I? -Mami repeated.

-I know what are you going to ask...

-Then answer me.. WHY? Why you were twisting my neck and whispering those words to my ear...!

-I can't answer.. It's too hard... 

-Really?!

-Yes... 

Mami stared at Kuuga's huge eyes that were full of saddness.

-Okay, nevermind.. I'll forget it..-Whispered Mami and hugged him again.

Suddenly something cold touched her belly. It was pointed and cold as ice. The red color painted Mami's hair and face...

-KUUGA!!! KUUGA!! -She started roaring, shouting, screaming... but Kuuga's dead body was lying on the ground in front of Mami's feet. 

The tears were falling and falling from Mami's eyes, but tears couldn't return her lover back to life. Suddenly she looked up and saw someone standing behind the dead body with long sword in hands:

-YOU?! How... How dare you!! -Mami shouted and twisted the human's neck and hurled it to the cave's wall hardly. -I'll KILL YOU! I SWEAR WITH MY OWN LIFE! i WILL KILL YOU!
