I never saw the bad, always the good.
I heard her cry; I pretended to have not,
And when she asked for help I pretended to have forgot.
I saw how you hurt her, but wouldn’t believe it was true,
I saw it all, I saw it every night, she shouldn’t have had to be terrified of you.
I saw you turn your back on her that night, that fateful night,
I should’ve helped her, she was so small, she couldn’t have put a fight.
I saw how you watched, if it weren’t you, you couldn’t be blamed,
But now she’s gone, and never coming back, and I’m the only way that you can be named.
You told them she fell, it was accident, she couldn’t be saved,
But she could and you lied and there’s a price that should be paid.
My little sister, only five, didn’t deserve you; she deserved to stay alive,
My little sister sweet as can be, she should’ve been able to depend on you and me.
My little sister, gone to a better place, truly thankful that she was saved by God’s grace.

My little sister needed me and you can see it too,
You blame her death all on me, not on daddy, not on you,
You made it look like he deserved the blame,
And I’m glad he’s gone to prison, but you deserve the same.
