~ Chapter 1 - Love ~
"How much do you love me?" He grins at me leaning against my locker.
Luke. He's handsome, sweet, charming and my best friend.
"Not much." I smirk closing my locker to face him. His hair was pushed up the way he liked it. He's obsessed with his hair if you were to touch, it he would hate you.
"Hey! Come on." He pouts and I roll my eyes.
"To the moon and back." I smile lightly and he ruffles my hair.
"Love you more kiddo."
When he says 'love' he doesn't mean it the way you think, he means it only in a friend way, like a sisterly love. But then there's me loving him the way he will never love me back.
The bell rings for first period and we trudge down the hallway. "Why do we have to have maths in the morning?" I pout opening the door to the class followed by Luke. We take our seats and wait for the teacher.
"Jess what are we gonna do for our birthday?" He says looking at me with his big brown eyes. Our birthdays where around the same time, so we've been having parties together since we where 7.
"I don't know... Party at mine? With a jumping castle and strobe lights?!" I say.
"You and your jumping castles." He says smirking at me. He was right, I had an obsession with jumping castles. Any carnivals with them. I'll be there.
"Shh" I giggle and we shift our attention to the teacher.

Lunch finally arrived and Luke and I strode into the cafeteria looking around for everyone. We finally spot them and make our way over.
"Hey." We say at the same time.
"Man, you guys are really in sync today." Brenda states whilst pulling a piece of chicken from her salad and placing it on her boyfriend Dan's plate.
We take a seat at the table and begin chatting to everyone.
"So how's your day been?" Kai one of the boys in our group asks. I smile at him and face towards him. "Pretty good thanks. You?"
"Yeah it's alright."
Kai and I chat for a few minutes before I catch Luke's gaze, although he wasn't looking at me he was looking at Kai, or more like glaring?
What the hell?
The bell goes for the end of lunch and we all say our goodbye's and head off to our respective classes.

It was finally the end of the day and Luke had driven me home as usual. I walked casually into my room, dropped my bag on the floor and headed over to my stereo plugging my phone in.
I turn it onto Take A Walk by Passion Pit. (A/N I'm going to be dropping songs for you to listen to whilst reading this book :) )
I dance around my room before I notice my computer making funny noises. I walk over to it and open it up to find a Skype call from Luke.
"Yo yo yo" I yell over the music before turning it down a notch.
"Nice song, Passions Pit?" He asks.
"Of course"
"Okay. Party, what should we do?" He asks.
"Hmm I still think we should have a jumping castle... And maybe we could have the band play?" I say picking up my cat and placing her on my knees. By band I mean a few of our friends that play really well.
"Okay okay. We can have a jumping castle. And the band sounds cool."

The party planning went on for another good hour until we got off topic.
"So how much do you love me?" I say etching a good bye.
"To the moon and back." He grins.
"Night." I wave before quitting Skype.
"Love you more" I whisper.
