Together Forever

I walked my little brother, Clyde, to his school then walked across the street to mine. There, my best friend Pearl was waiting for me.

Pearl: thank goodness finally the last day of school

Me: this school year has gone like forever

The bell rang for 1st period. I really don't know what's going on because I'm not paying attention. I'm just thinking about school ending finally.

Hours ticked by and now it was the start of 8th period. Our teacher was probably on crack because he didn't realize this was the last day of school and he was giving us a test. It doesn't matter, he already put the grades in and they don't matter, so I just guessed on all of them and wrote stupid answers. Then I turned around and talked to Pearl, which he was obviously on crack since he didn't yell at anyone in the class for talking.

At last the bell rang and 7th grade was done. Pearl just ran straight home. She's so lucky to be the youngest. I haft to go get my brother from his school and walk 5 blocks all the way home in the heat.

Don't get me wrong, I love Clyde. I just don't like walking too much. Not my thing.

I sat in the shade and waited for him to come out the door. Finally he came out with a dinosaur colored really badly.

Clyde: hey Morgy, I made this for you.

Me: oh thanks, buddy. Lets go.

Clyde: ok

Clyde went on about his day. I still can't believe he's going into 1st grade. I just can't.

Clyde: and then we- hey, where did you get those sunglasses?

Me: they're not sunglasses. They're seeing glasses that shade in when I'm outside.

Clyde: ooohhh. Do you like it when they do that?

Me: yes

Clyde: well that's nice

We finally arrived home. I walked in my room and threw my backpack in the closet. I kicked my Jordan's off and unbuttoned two buttons of my flannel. I had a shirt under it, don't panic.

Me: hey mom, I'm home

Mom: hey Morgan

Me: howdy. I'm gonna go exercise Deuce.

Mom: have fun

I put on some boots and saddled up Deuce, my horse. When was done my dad came in with some really good news he told us during dinner.

Dad: everybody...... we are going on a cruise

Me: AWW YES!!!! NO WAY WOO HOO!!!!!

Mom: that's very nice honey

Clyde: what's a cruise?

Me: a cruise is when you have a vacation on a boat

Clyde: like the ones on the commercials?

Me: yep

I loved his expression when he heard that. This is gonna be the best summer ever!!!
