Geoff woke up with a start to the sound of a blood-curdling scream.
He sat up and saw Awsten, sat bolt upright. He knew he couldn’t wake Awsten. You should never wake someone who suffered with nightmares, sleep paralysis, or night terrors. Geoff knew that, because Awsten suffered with all three.
However, Geoff still brought Awsten close and gently petted his hair. He whispered to Awsten, about little nothings. He told Awsten that he was okay, Geoff had him, that he loved him, ect.
Awsten soon relaxed against Geoff, falling back to sleep. Geoff held Awsten, checking his phone. It was 5:58am.
It was a Saturday morning. Neither of them had work and that was the best.
Geoff eventually fell asleep, sitting up against the headboard with Awsten curled against him. Awsten was so beautiful and so peaceful, and Geoff loved him more than he could ever say.
