Bye to You Too!

My little seven-year-old sister was leaving the house to go to the park across the street to play with her friends. There was no one else at home, just the two of us. So I decided I'd read in peace for that time.

I sat in my room and read. I heard her footsteps moving towards the front door.

"Bye!" Her voice echoed throughout the quiet house.

"See ya later!" I called back to her.

"Oh, yeah, bye to you, too! I forgot you were there!" She shouted in reply...
