Welcomed darkness
A whimper came from the other side of the room, my ears barley picked it up as the sound was weak and feeble, the gag tightened in my mouth as I tried to scream and caught in the back of my throat. I jerked my head forward violently and freed it from choking me, my teeth gripped the rag slightly and I pulled it gently, not making noise or touching the wooden block. After what felt like endless hours the gag finally came unstuck; obviously they didn't tie it properly or thought that I would be to weak to try and untie it. But that is how people had always perceived me as, just a feeble minded girl with no ambition in life but to carry on the legacy of her father and be the future preacher in our little town, well, I would prove them wrong.
