Derek's pov. It's 2 days till thanksgiving. Lexi's 11 months old. We're at my sister Marabeth's in Tennessee. Jules had a few things to take care of back in Los Angeles. She'll come tomorrow. Lexi's starting to walk. She's adorable. She can almost walk without holding onto anyone or anything. We're outside. Lexi's walking holding onto Sharee's hands.

Sharee let go of her hands. Lexi wobbled, but caught her balance. She climbed up the stairs holding onto the bars on the railing. She came over to me. I got her. She burried her face in my chest. I laughed. We went inside. Jules was there.
Lexi said "mommy." Jules got her. I smiled. I said " when did you get here? " she said "just a while ago. I came in through the back." I nodded.
