Chapter 29

Asher pov

I was sleeping on the roof enjoy the last bit of the natural cold weather as I could, while I was sleeping I dreamt of the first-time Emma first proposed on her knees to me in public if I had known that's why she wanted it to snow I wouldn't have done it, but it was interesting to see a 9 year old get down on one knee and confess how much she loved me for what had to be the 100th time. had I known she'd lose all memory of the time we spent together would I have changed my answer? ........ probably not

I was suddenly disturbed when I smelt a wolf trying to sneak up on me and groaned mentally at the fact I had to get up now. when he was finally close enough I let my hand slip off the lawn chair I was on touching the ground and froze it underneath him along with his feet

"h-hey" he struggled

"you're not quite enough" I sighed sitting up and looking at the old alphas little brother. lately he's been trying to assassinate me while I sleep outside of my office and personal area

"damn you" he cursed

"Mhm" I yawn while taking my shades off to rub my eyes

"let me out of this ice" he shouted trying to move

"you'll thaw in an a few minutes, find us when your finally out" I sighed walking to the edge

"you can't leave me like this" he shouted but I already jumped of the roof and was falling to the ground floor. he was getting better at sneaking I guess, but he still seemed to want to walk the bad road so I do this to him every time he tries and kills me

"Asher" Cora said surprised when she says me land

"your all here?" I asked looking at everyone already outside for training

"yes, but please stop jumping of the roof. the kids are starting to think if they train more they can do it too" she stressed while I walked in front of everyone

"if they don't mind broken legs they can" I said making sure they heard me while getting a blow pop

"Calvin giving you trouble?" ross asked noticing that he wasn't around

"he's frozen to the roof" I told them stretching and so did some of the others

"that kid" someone said in disappointment

"alright you know the drill" I told them before taking off into the forest and they followed. over time they've improved on their speed and endurance and now can run faster and longer in human form, but like this they still can't keep up with me. I kept running around dodging tress and longs while they all followed some now actually laughing while they ran and did tricks while jumping around in the forest but soon my blow pop was to the gum

'status?' I asked while jumping clear past a long

'everyone looking good' Leo told me

'the girls are doing better' Cora told me proudly. they were still faster than a lot of the men in running and would usually always pull ahead of them which Cora was proud of

'the kids look good too' ross told me

'Calvin?' I asked

'he showed up a while ago, he seems to be a little pissed about being frozen...again' ross told me but that wasn't my problem. I started running backwards to check personally. everyone did look good and they seemed like they were ready I spun back around before biting off the gum and throwing away my stick. that was the signal for them to shift into half form. and they were soon all speeding up to keep up with me and I let them think that they could till I was even with Cora who was always in second place, then I started running and held lead again. we kept running till I finally got tired of the gum already losing its flavor
