I had no appointments for the rest of the day, so I enjoyed lunch outside. I missed being back home, I was watching the kids play on one side and the Warriors train on the other.

"You need to leave the Alpha alone" Nick said to me, I took a long sip of my drink,

"Why might that be Beta?" I asked him, I knew he was getting angry, it was the only way I could truly hate him.

"He is an Alpha, and your family are killers" he said,

"Healers, that is what I am too, now if you excuse me I see a certain Alpha calling me over" I said looking at Kenneth who was talking and stealing glances my way. I got up and walked away, I can feel his eyes on my back.

"Anything you need to tell me Alpha?" I asked Kenneth, his men who he was just talking to walked away.

"Well, first you look beautiful" he said with a smile, he is quite the charmer.

"Second, would you go on a date with me later today?" He asked me, I grinned.

"And if I say no?" I asked him, he moved closer to me, my heart was beating a little faster than usual.

"Third, I will have no choice telling everyone I accepted you as my Mate" he said with a wicked grin,

"Blackmail, didn't know Alphas did that" I told him,

"Some don't, but if it gets me what I want I have no problem using blackmail" he replied back,

We were both were staring into each other eyes. He reached out and moved a strand of my hair from my face.

"I always heard Alphas were flirts, now I seen it with my own eyes" I told him, he gave out a deep chuckle, that was affecting me in ways that I long forgotten about.

This was all in my head, I'm not an ideal Mate for anyone and that was ok. I knew I wasn't gonna find my happy ending but I had to make sure I wasn't gonna fall in love with him.

"Well, I'm free now until tomorrow so" I said,

"Well, Miss Raina, would you do me the honor" he said with his hand out for me, I smiled and took it.

"Your a dork" I said, taking his hand. We both laughed while we started walking beyond the territory boundaries.

It wasn't long that we found a clearing near the river, I forgot we had a river in the Pack. There was a picnic setup there, he walked in front of me before turning back to me and leaving his hand out.

"Ever the gentleman" I said as we both sat down,

"I try" he said opening the basket, I know there was people nearby. I can sense them and a couple eyes watching us.

"Sorry, I'll tell them to back off" he said, realizing what I felt,

"No, it's ok. Worried that I might kill you Alpha" I said with a smirk,

"Not at all, I know that you can kill me in my sleep. I just hope you wait until after the mating and kids before you do" he said, then started laughing.

I honestly need to reevaluate my life, he was already thinking of the future. We didn't even have a full date yet, and I was already regretting saying yes.

"Ok, I'll keep the remarks to myself" he said handing me a sandwich it was half of his. He was already starting the mating ritual by giving me his food.

"Thank you but I'm not hungry" I told him, he looked at the food before up at me. A look of wonder and surprise before handing me a granola bar.

"So, why me?" I asked him enjoying the view,
