Hours have passed since Tyler dried out on tears. He lay there in the middle of the room, still holding on to Hanna's picture. He just sat, lost in thought when the grandfather clock that was right beside him sang a deep chime. It snaped him out of his wits. He jerked his head up and titlting his body to look at the time. His eyes shot open.

"Oh, shit!" He scrambled up. "Anniversary..." Tyler stood up and dropped the frame. He had a quick glimpse of the photo and looked away. His hands were shaking, his right hand was strugling, running through his still messy bed-head. It was a habit he did when he was so frustrated that didn't know what to do anymore. He then breathed hard and still, till the holes in his chest were filled.

'No... NO.' He told himself. He knew exactly what he had to do. In sync with his heart that kept beating, he turned to look at the shattered fragments on the floor. He put on his signature smirk. Determination pumped in his veins. He knew there was only one thing in the world he was so great at doing.

Loving Hanna.

"Muito obrigado pelas flores! {Thank you very much for the flowers!}" He smiled as he waved at the old lady, who was clearly amused of the white boy speaking Portugese. Tyler also couldn't help but grin when the grandma in her late 60's pinched his cheeks when she sold him the bouquet of lavender roses with dusty pink calla lilies.

He felt ecstatic looking at the bouquet. Calla lilies were Hanna's favorite flowers, on the other hand, lavender roses were his. The mixture of both came out well. It represented two things they love in complete harmony. Hanna told him that she doesn't want to accept gifts that involves a 'You' or an 'I' because all she ever wanted were things that reminded her of an 'Us.' Does it make sense? To Tyler, everything made sense; their love for each other made sense.

Tyler jumped in the motorcycle he rented out and put on his helmet. He closed his eyes and started the engine. Adrenaline rushed throughout his body when he heard the bad boy purr. No matter what, he's still a man, and does this man know how to ride. As he darted his eyes open, he sped down the block. As soon as the buildings were out of sight, the bright brazilian sun shone like a star at night. Even through the protective glass of the helment, Tyler could feel the warmth and wrath of a sun in the afternoon.

Soon enough, he had reached the apartment and had picked up the phone to confirm his reservation. "We'll be there by 6 sharp... Okay... Okay, thank you. We'll be looking forward to it... Goodbye." He hung-up and packed the luggage for the trip. He planned to surprise Hanna this year. After packing, he dressed up, grabbed everything and went to pick up Hanna.

The taxi driver said his thanks in Portugese after Tyler handed him Reais (plural of Real, currency unit in Brazil). After doing so, Tyler headed to Hanna's office. On his way he heard someone talking. More than talking, rather, they were whispering. Soon, Tyler realized they were on the other side of the door.

"Você está confiante de que você pode fazer isso? {Are you confident you can do it?}" A man with a rich voice said.

"Por que, você não confia em mim? {Why, you don't trust me?}" The all too familiar voice of a woman replied.

"Se eu não fizesse, eu iria mesmo confiar-lhe este trabalho? {If I didn't, would I even offer you this job?}" Tyler could almost feel the sneer in his voice.

"Depois é só continuar confiando em mim. Eu posso fazer isso. Ninguém vai saber. Você vai ser feliz, serei feliz, todo mundo vai ser feliz. E ele vai ser ... {Then just continue on trusting me. I can do this. No one will know. You'll be happy, I'll be happy, everyone will be happy. And he'll be...}"

"...morto. Certo? {...dead. Right?}" The mystery man fiercly said.

"Eu ia dizer "cuidado" ... mas "morto" não desviar-se, também. {I was going to say "taken care of"... but "dead" doesn't stray off, too.}" Then the whispers ceased. Tyler saw the knob twisting so he tried to hide by scaling the side of the building. He heard her talk again. "Adeus ... Lúcifer. {Goodbye... Lucifer.}"

'Lucifer? The fallen one? But... why would she be...' He thought to himself.

"Adeus... Azrael." The Angel of Death. The even more puzzled Tyler heard footsteps distancing away.

'But why would Lucifer and Azrael be here...? It doesn't make sense. This never happened in the cycle before.' He was lost in thought but later on, he brought the flowers up to his chin to savor the fragrance. "Today is... special. Nothing else will bother me." He walked up to the door and raised his arm to knock.

'Let's keep this our little secret, flowers.' A beautiful woman appeared from the doorsteps. Tyler went down on his knees and leaned into the flowers again, whispering...

'Shhh... secreta. {Secret.}' Then he lifted his face and gave her a genuine smile. "Happy Anniversary!" He stared at the woman he loved no matter what happened, smile with joy. He felt his heart clench. He then said to himself. 'Yes. Happy Anniversary, my beloved...

TRAITOR.'
