Chapter 14

Daniel's POV

I woke up this morning with a woman laying next to me..naked"

"What the hell happened last night" I thought as I stood up slowly and walked to the other side of the bed to see that it was Corae damn, I rubbed my face stress-fully

I was comtemplating on if I should wake her up or not when my phone rang

"Hey bro come open the door" I heard Brielle's best friend Shaii say

I hung up the phone and looked back at corae to see if she was still then quickly put on a shirt

"Hey brother!" Shaii greeted me as we both walked into the kitchen

"How you doing?' She asked

" I'm hanging in there I guess" I replied

"Aw Daniel, everything will be okay. god wont give you anything you cant handle" she said rubbing my back

"I know, I know" I said getting up throwing my bowl of cereal in the sink

After that there was an long awkward silence until you could here shuffling upstairs

"What's that noise?" Shaii asked

"I dont know,maybe the TV'" I said a little too fast

"mhm" Was all she said

"You wanna here some of my new music?" I asked 

"Sure" She said simply

I put my iphone on the dock and played "Hello World" For her and ran upstairs  to see if Corae was woke and as I thought she was 

"Good morning baby" she said wrapping her arms around me 

"stop Corae"I said

"What's wrong with you thing morning grumpy?" she said feeling up my shirt

"STOP!" I yelled kind of loud "Stay. up. here. and .be .QUIET!'"I gritted

"Why should I?" she said 

before I could answer I heard the music shut off so I quickly ran back downstairs to see a confused looking Shaii

"You find out what the noise was?" She asked

"Yeah, It was just the Tv" I said worst lie ever I thought

After a while Shaii decided she was ready to go so I walked her to the door until we both heard her

"Babe Where are your extra tooth brushes she said coming down the stairs wrapped in a towel smirking at the both of us"

"Really Daniel? Her? after all your going through right now your gonna just up and cheat on Brielle while she's in the hospital?! How fucked up are you?!" She spat

"Shaii It's no-" I started but she cut me off

" Save it Daniel,and to think I called you my brother" she said grimming Corae then slamming the door

"Dammit Corae LEAVE.NOW.!" I said through gritted teeth

"No baby,why?" She asked rubbing my back

"Get off of me" I said slightly pushing her

"Know what Daniel. I'm tired of you acting like this. I know you love me as much as I still love you, we've been through so much together .I know you dont wanna throw it all away for Brielle,Come on Daniel we could have our own little family Fuck Brielle and that other baby. He's probably not even yo-" she said before I cut her off

"Dont you ever speak about my family like that again you pshyco I dont want you Corae,I dont love you, i dont want to be with you! Get that shit through your delusional head!" I said grabbing her wrist and picking up her clothes and walking her to the door

"Good bye Corae" I said then slammed the door on her face

Corae's POV

I stood there as Daniel closed the door right in my face, How could he say those words to me..He didn't love me? He didn't wanna be with me?..How could he?  I thought

I walked to my car and started putting on my stuff after starring at the mirror in the sunvisor in my car

Here I am 7 1/2 months pregnant still chasing after a man who clearly doesn't want me.What is wrong with me

I hurt myself and maybe even my baby because of love,Love I have for him or so I thought I had. I was hoping this morning would go as planned and Daniel would love me and trust me and want to be with me but like every plan I had it failed.

I drove down the street as the tears ran rapidly down my eyes causing my vision to blur

if I could'nt live my life with Daniel,Then I don't want to live at all.....

Shaii's POV

"I couldn't believe that Daniel would cheat on Brielle,While she's in the hospital in a coma and they both have a premature baby fighting for his life"

what is wrong with him I thought

"Hey Mrs.Simmons, This is Shaii ,Brielle's best friend I was calling to tell you that everybody was gonna meet up at the hospital today to see how Brielle was doing and afterwards go back to Daniel's house just to have some quality family time" I said leaving a message on Daniel's mothers phone as I pulled up to the hospital

Daniel's pov

After Corae left I quickly took a shower and got dressed then cleaned up the house,After that was done I left for the hospital

I was walking through the hospital when I seen all of my family and Brielle's mom and sister then Shaii

I sat down next to my dad in the waiting room as everyone joined around starring at me like I was some type of criminal

Did Shaii tell them what happened?

"Daniel how you feeling baby?" Mrs.Michelle said hugging me she looked like she'd been crying all night, her eyes were red and puffy

"I'm trying to hold on,I guess" I said feeling my eyes swell up

"Family for Brielle Lopez and Daniel Dwayne Simmons IV" The doctor said with an clipboard in his hands

"Yes" Ms.Michelle and I both said standing to our feet

"You all can visit them but mind you cant touch the baby he's getting better but he;s still fragile,Brielle is still not yet awaken but she has been moving a little" The doctor said leading us to the room

We all stood there staring at Brielle as she laid there peacefully. she was hooked up to all these machines and had on a breathing mask,It really hurt my heart to see her like this 

I looked over in the incubator to see Danny laying there squirming around. He was just so precious and I could tell he was gonna be a ladies man like his father, If I may say so myself

"Hey Mr.Simmons, we just want to let you know we've been running some test on Daniel and he's seem to be responding fine and if he keeps this up and his weight moves up a little he'll be able to go home within a couple of days" The nurse said smiling at me

She just doesn't know how happy she just made me.
