//Chapter Nine//
"Looks like you and your locker are starting to get along well again." Elliot said as I put my textbooks away in my locker.
"It's about time too." I giggled.
"So, how are you and Jace?"
I shrugged, "I don't know. I guess we're cool with eachother. We apologised to each other, that's for sure."
"That's good to know. I'm happy for you guys."
"Thanks." I said, closing the locker door, "And I'd like to thank you for the advice you gave me. I look really stupid not knowing what to do and all I had to do was to just apologise."
"You're welcome. I just don't want you to get stuck in some kind of conflict." he said, flashing me a gorgeous smile of his, "I just want you to be happy, that's all."
I lightly blushed at his words, trying to hide it with my bangs.
"So, are you going with anyone for the Halloween Dance?"
I looked up at him, "Um...no. Not really."
"Oh. Well, I was wondering if you could come with me..."
Huh?
Woah...wait!
Did Elliot just ask me? Like legit, ask me to go to the dance?
Oh wow...I'm actually really happy.
It's not that I'm going with a cute...hot...good looking guy like hi---
"...and Arabella?"
My sudden small smile turned to an automatic frown.
"Oh...um, I don't know."
"I'm not saying that you're going to be my third wheel or anything like that. I promise, I would never do anything like that to a girl. And the reason why I'm going with Arabella is to go as friends. Nothing else." Elliot said.
"I know. You're too sweet and caring to do that anyway." I said. My eyes then widened from my unexpected comment.
Elliot smiled, "Thanks."
"I...I don't know why I just said that but I kind of do mean that." I said, panicking.
He chuckled, looking at me with amusement, "Anyway, do you want to come with us?"
I thought about it for a second.
Should I go?
Or stay at home, scarfing down left over Halloween candy in my Snuggie while watching the Titanic?
"Sure."
Holy shit, I said it.
Elliot smiled, brightly, "Great. I'm glad you can come with us."
"Um, yeah." I said, nervously.
Why am I acting so fidgety? I should be happy about this!
"I...I got to go to class. Don't want to be late for chem." I said to him.
"Oh, okay. I'll see you tomorrow then."
"Yeah...we will." I said and proceeded to my chem class.
