Y/n's POV

I smiled looking at one of my mum's colleagues from work who had just pulled up. I'd known them since I was little but I hadn't seen them in a few years. "Patty!" My mother greeted.

"Hello!" She grinned. "Oh gosh, y/n you've grown so much. You remember my daughter, Ellie?" I didn't really remember Ellie who looked around 7-8.

I just smiled at Ellie as she hid her face. "This is my husband Bill and son Charly," the two boys started getting their caravan ready.  It was late afternoon so they better be quick.

I remembered Charly from when I was little, he only waved at me. He was a year younger but I was never attracted to him.

As the night went on Ellie became comfortable around me and was now sitting on my lap in front of the fire.

"Y/n, you'll get to meet my cousins!" She giggled excitedly. "Cool, how many are coming?" I asked trying to keep the conversation going.

"Two," she said "Aaliyah and Shawn." "Oh, when are they coming?" "In an hour." Her eyes focused on the fire.

There was another family with us that I had just met but I barely spoke to them.

Soon enough, headlights began to beam on the camp and on the lake beside me.

I saw figures all tumble out of the car. I was surprised to see a boy around my age. Ellie seemed so excited that I thought it was someone around her age.

"Shawn!" She giggled as she hugged the mysterious boy. "Come 'ere you little rat." He laughed picking her up.

I smiled, seeing a boy act like that was rare. "Y/n this is Shawn," Ellie turned to me. "Hi nice to meet you," I said "Good to meet you too." He placed Ellie  back on her feet.

I was introduced to the rest of the family and so were the others. "I need to go to the toilet." Ellie said. The toilet block was a long way away so you needed to drive there.

"Charly could drive you," I breathed. "Charly! Can you drive Ellie to the toilets?" "Uh yeah, you wanna come Shawn?" Charly directed to the attractive boy.

"Sure," Shawn replied cooly. "I don't trust them driving." Ellie laughed. "I'll come with you," I realised I was wearing bed socks, flip flops on top, pj pants and a normal shirt.

I was quite embarrassed to be seen like that in front of such an attractive boy.

We packed into the car. Ellie was on my lap, Charly driving and Shawn in the back.

We parked just beside the block. I opened the door for Ellie to hop out. "Yeah I need to go too," Charly remarked.

The car door shut behind me and then the one next to me. I turned to see Shawn now seating in the drivers spot.

"I thought I'd swoop in," he grinned some of his hair falling onto his face.

"Will she be ok in there with no light?" Shawn seemed worried. "She should be fine," I replied.

"Sock and flip flops? What a fashion atrocity," he laughed. "I happen to be very comfortable," I said a matter of factly.

"You may feel good but it doesn't look good," he chuckled. "Hey! I can look good in anything," I faked a frown. "I bet you do," he mumbled under his breath.
