Popular Couple

Shawn and I were the popular couple. We had a small group of friends that we shared. We were used to people starring at us and telling us we were cute. We were even voted cutest couple in our grade.

People stereotyped us but the truth is, Shawn and I were band geeks. Our friends were all smart in at least in one subject and if anyone wanted to talk to us we would welcome them but being popular is hard sometimes people expect you to be perfect and happy all the time.

There is one thing I absolutely hate. It's all the girls that drool over Shawn. There is this one girl who's had a biology project with Shawn and I'm pretty sure she's convinced that Shawn will dump me for her.

She always glares at me I find it funny. I walked up to my locker finding my science book, talking to my friend Jay.

When suddenly a pair of arms lifted me up spinning me around. "How's my number one girl?" Shawn asked kissing my cheek. "Great as long as her number one man is great too." I replied turning around kissing him. "Wow guys, way to make me envy you even more." Jay laughed.

"Hey Jay." Shawn chirped. "Hi Shawn, I've got to get to class. I'll see you guys at lunch." Jay waved at us. "Let's go to science shall we." Shawn grabbed my hand. "We shall." I smiled.

Shawn's stalker is in this class. We walked in and sat down at our desk. "Today I'm giving you a partner project to do on any body system of your choice. You'll do a presentation to the class and a 500 word essay to me. And before I ask if there's any questions. Yes you can do the reproductive system and I have already paired you up." The teacher concluded while the whole class groaned.

He started reading out the names. "Shawn and Matilda." Great Shawn's with his stalker grreeeaattt. "Y/N and Lilah." Well at least I'm with one of my best friends.

Finally the class finished and it was lunch. Shawn and I walked out hand in hand to the grass area. "It suck that you're partnered with Matilda." I sighed.

"Why? She was nice last time I had a project with her." He shrugged. "Because she has a giant crush on you." I huffed. "Baby, calm down. I love you and only you." He said holding the sides of my face.

"I know and I trust you. I don't trust her I know she's going to try something with you." I looked up to his beautiful brown eyes. "I won't retaliate I'll tell her that you're my girlfriend and I don't want anybody else." He smiled.

Moving his thumb in up and down motions on my cheek. "Ok." I breathed. "Come on let's go have lunch." Shawn announced. We walked over to where our friends were sitting on the grass.

"What took you so long?" Our friend Miles asked. "Shawn here is paired with a girl who has a giant crush on him for a science project." I cheered sarcastically.

I sat down and Shawn quickly followed. "Ooh harsh." My friend Lola added. "But it doesn't matter because I only love Y/N." Shawn cooed. "You guys make me wanna barf." Jay faked a gag.

"Speaking of the science project. You coming to mine tonight, Y/N?" Lilah chimed in. "Yes, of course." I replied. Everyone started talking between themselves when Shawn pulled my legs so that they were either side of his hips meaning I was sitting on his lap.
"I know you still don't like this whole situation but just think it'll be over in a week. Then we can go back to not worrying about other girls." Shawn smiled pulling me in for a kiss.

"I worry about other girls everyday. I mean look at you, you're so attractive. You're funny and nice. What girl wouldn't want to date you?" I starting playing with my fingers.

Shawn lifted my chin up with his index finger. "I worry about that stuff to but I'm not going to loose you to some science project or my insecurities." Shawn assured me. "I guess you're right." I admitted. "Let's go flaunt our relationship in front of Matilda." Shawn stood up offering his hand.

I took his hand and stood up. "Sounds perfect."
