"I..um..uh..I.." I stuttered. "Why so nervous Maddie? Tyler said smirking. "I..I..they..um..chicken little?" Paige murmured. They smirked knowing the effect they had on us. Paige liked Tyler even though Chloe did,and I liked Josh. I tried to stall by trying to put a bright red hibiscus flower into my hair. They grabbed some chips and went back upstairs. I gulped. This was the most HORRIBLE ninth birthday in the history of ninth birthdays! It was also a very secretive ninth birthday. Josh comes back downstairs and gets a coke from the fridge. "Mads,I like playing with you. I would give anything to be your best friend." He says while nudging me. He pecks my cheek and hugs me. He goes back upstairs. Paige pokes my rib. "Ooooooohh!" She yells. I roll my eyes playfully while trying to hide my blush which made my face redder than the flower in my hair. She drags me back upstairs,where we all sleep for the rest of the day.
