"Do you think there is a life after death?" Biglang tanong ni Lyla. Tinignan namin sya.
"You mean, reincarnation ganon?" That's Kirsten. Tumango naman si Lyla. Tinungkod nya yung siko nya at humarap samin. Nakahiga kasi kami, ako sa gitna, sa kanan si Kirsten at si Lyla naman sa kaliwa ko.
"Hmm..." nilagay ni Kirsten ang hintuturo na sa chin nya na tanda na nagiisip sya ng mmalalim "50/50, besh."
"Eh ikaw?" Tinignan nila akong pareho. Hindi ako agad sumagot.
Reincarnation?
"Well, naniniwala ako pero hindi yung pag namatay ka, mapupunta sa halaman o hayop yung kaluluwa mo, dun ako sa part na after you die, after a hundred years, marereborn ka as another person. All memories of your past life will be erased."
"Ganern?" Tumango ako. Humiga ulit si Lyla at tumingin sa ceiling.
"Kung may tao kayong gustong makasama pero hindi kayo pinahihintulutan ng tadhana, sino yun? Ako siguro si Dred." First boyfriend nya. Naging sila nung high school pa lang kami.
"Ako siguro kung maghihiwalay kami ni Lenard, sya yung sagot ko." Tahimik ng bumalot samin. Naramdaman ko yung tingin nila sakin sa gilid ng ulo ko.
"How 'bout you?"
Hindi ako agad sumagot. Memories flashed before my eyes. Napangiti ako ng mapait.
"It will always going to be him. And even in another lifetime, I'm still gonna choose him." Tinaas ko ang kamay ko at tinignan ang singsing na nasa palasingsingan ko.
