It was getting late and the party was almost over.
On one hand, I wanted the party to end quickly so that I could meet my childhood friend again. On the other hand, I didn’t. I didn’t want Ayesha to leave.
We had only just met but I felt as if I’d know her for years.
So when my parents told me that we had to leave now, I was pretty disappointed.
I forced myself to say good bye and started walking away.
I turned back for one final glimpse of the girl who had stolen my heart, and was surprised to see that she was crying.She shook her head when I asked her if she was alright and quietly said, “You won’t understand because you don’t care about people.”
Oh wow, now that was harsh.
I had absolutely no idea what I’d done to offend her like that. I left.
My evening had ended the same way it had begun, with me in shock.
