"Doc 4:30 na" Ate Beth peeked through the half-opened door.
I stretched my arms on top of the table. Nakatulog pala ako on my desk.
"Sige Ate Beth, salamat" I responded. She winked at me and gently closed the door. Pauwi na rin siya dahil naka-bag na siya at nakalabas na yung payong niya. I asked her to wake me up in case may dadating na pasyente.
Two hours din pala akong nakatulog sa office. Buti nalang walang pasyenteng dumating or pinagbigyan siguro ako ni Ate Beth and scheduled them to other offices dahil sabi ko wala ako sa mood today.
Madilim sa corridor when I came out, wala nang tao on the benches, at puro pauwi na yung mga nakakasalubong ko. Lahat sila may naka ready na payong at judging from the darkness sa loob mukhang malakas ang ulan sa labas.
Tahimik, madilim, horror movie ang feels. Buti nalang I've stayed too long in this hospital so nothing scares me anymore.

I kept walking through the halls until I got to a cross armed Darylle waiting at the end of the hall.
"So you're not gonna be all lovey-dovey to that Victor person now that he's here? Last week lang mukhang seryosong seryoso ka sa kanya" Darylle asked worriedly.
"Hindi ko pa alam anong gagawin ko sa kanya" I told her honestly. "He stood me up. He stood mom and me up. That tells so much about him"
"Nga ba?" Darryl teased.
"Bakit mukhang friends na kayo? Supportive ka na sa kanya?" I asked.
"Well I've seen you worry about him kaninang sinamahan mo siya sa loob ng ER. Baka nagtatampo ka lang" sabi ni Darryl.
"Is that why you're here?" I looked at her. "Para ipagtanggol yung taong ayaw mo last week?" Oo nga naman, 'tong baklang 'to parang walang trabaho kung maka tambay sa ospital. "This isn't a park Darryl, hindi rin maganda na makitang patambay tambay ka dito"
"I'm in trouble Avie." Darylle uttered.
"Anyare sayo?" Shocking para sakin na i-admit ni Darylle ang ganun. Hindi si Darylle ang tipong magpapahuli ng buhay pag nalagay sa alanganin.
"I'm out of the family for the mean time" she said shyly.
"O eh ano naman? Talaga namang dapat bumubukod ka na--"
"I'm also suspended indefinitely" Darylle added.
"What?! Ano bang ginawa mo?! Dahil ba yan sa kaka-tambay mo dito?! Sabi naman sayo magpanggap ka parin na nagta-trabaho eh!"
"No, it's actually an internal matter, for some reason my aunt twisted things so she can put the blame on me" Darylle waved her hand on air as if what happened to her was nothing.
