Chapter 13: Confessions
I felt as if I had done something wrong., like I betrayed Jay in some way. But it's not like it's my fault Grayson kissed me. It's not like I wanted it to happen.
There was the decision if I should even tell Jay or not. What he doesn't know won't kill him right? But Mom always told me not to lie.
I came to Jay's door and knocked 3 times.
"Come in!" Anna called from the other side.
I opened up the door and saw Jay on the couch.
"Hey. What's up?" he asked.
"Nothing much." I said with a smile. I felt bad lying to his face.
He nodded, though I think he knew I wasn't telling the truth.
"Hey, Anna, why don't you go back to your apartment while Bethany and I talk." Jay said.
"No!" I said, abruptly. But I couldn't let Anna go back to that skunk bag. (I'm not good at insults, okay?)
Jay turned to me, surprised. That was probably very suspicious since he already thinks I lied to him.
"Anna, go." he said, "stand in the hall or something."
Anna got up and walked out as she was told.
"Bethany, what's going on?" Jay asks. His face was full of concern.
"Grayson needs to go. I- he just needs to leave." I said.
"What are you talking about? What happened?" he asked.
"Grayson- he kissed me. I didn't want him to he just did. I'm sorry."
"There's no need to apologize. It's not your fault."
