I don't know what's am I feeling right now. I looked at the bandages in my body. I was mad when I saw Joan passed out with a big wound on her shoulder blade.
Herinel messed with my family.. and Joan. That made me 10 times more mad than usual. I needed to kill them for hurting people around me
"You okay?" I looked up to see Matthew Lemiere entered my room with Axel Cesborn
"Yeah" I nodded
"Here" Matthew threw a file to me and I opened it. It's about Herinel and my company back. I looked up to them
"Thanks"
"I want you to stop seeing my sister" Axel suddenly said and that got me bad
"I can't stop seeing her" I said seriously
"You dragged her with you. She's reckless and you should know that after you meet her" Axel said
"It was my fault but I can't stop seeing her after this" I said honestly
"Dream on boy.." Axel chuckled
"Why can't you stop? You like her?" Matthew asked and I turned my eyes to him
"I- I still- I don't know but she's my source of happiness. That sounds cheesy but yeah"
"She's hurt because of you. Do you think I will let you see her again?"
"I don't need your permission to see him, Axel" I turned to the door to see Joan entered my room. She glared at his brother
"How do you even get out from your room?" Matt asked
"I might have kick their ass" She answered and they sighed. Joan turned to me smiling and I can't help but so happy to her. She still had the bandage wrapping around her shoulder and her left arm.
"Let's go" Axel held her arm
"Don't make me kick you Axel , let me go" Joan hissed
"You're coming with me"
"Axel no.. Let-" Axel picked her up and carried her out from my room. I sighed since I can't do anything. I can't move too much right now.
"Why did you pick her?" Matt asked and I turned to him
"It's a long story"
"Why? Do you know that you're messing with the wrong team?" Matt raised his eyebrows
"I know and I owe all of you. Every single one of you"
"Then don't see Joan again" He said quickly and I shook my head
"I can't Matthew"
"Then tell me why did you pick her?"
"I need someone from the elite Matthew. I can't choose a guy because you can't get close to Herinel. I needed to choose between the 5 girls from the 7 Gold Lifes. I need a tough girl and I had been debating between Joan and Autumn but Joan's skill impressed me" I said truthfully
"I kidnapped her and asking for her help. I had look about her files and she's the toughest girl there. We spend a lot of together and she understand me a lot. She helped me and gave me this comfort feeling.."
"You know I have no one Matthew , my parents were killed and now I only have her" I begged and he sighed
"She risked her life for you. She stepped out for you" Matt said
"I know Matt. Listen , I promise with all my life that I will make her happy , I will protect her. Let her be with me , I only have her" I said truthfull and I ate my ego
This is Joan that we're talking about not some girl. This girl took a bullet for me. She helped me , comforted me and made me happy. I can't let this girl go. I will do whatever it takes to get her
"She's my little sister too even though not by blood but I suggest you talk to her real brothers and her dad Nate" Matt said walking to me
"The situation were dangerous , we even managed them to stay at home but she's not Joan if she didn't try to run away" Matt added
"I know , I'll do whatever it takes to get her"
"I felt that you'll be in our club soon. Keep on going Nate , just never give up on having her" Matt patted my shoulder and smiled at him
"Thanks"
"Get well soon" He said and then he walked out from my room. I sighed and I took my phone from the side. I decided to call Joan
"Hey"
"Nate!" I chuckled hearing her voice , she sounded so cheery
"Don't make me kick your jewels Axel , get away from me!" Joan shouted at her brother
"You okay? I'm going there" I said and slowly got out from bed. My wound swollen and it really hurts when I move my body.
"I'm okay.. Axel is just being an asshole" I walked to my door slowly and opened it. My eyes widen as I saw 2 guards standing in front of her room
"What are you doing?" Joan's twin asked
"Can you let me see your twin for awhile? It's killing that I can't see her" I said turning my head to him
"No"
"Please.. I need to see her" I held Joan's arm and he sighed
"My dad will kill me but I'm doing this because I love my twin" I smiled when he said that. He lead me to the door and opened the door for me
"Nate!!" Joan smiled and she's trying to get out from bed
"Why did you let him in jerk?" Axel asked Joel
"Let's give them time Axel , don't be an asshole. That's why she loves me more than you" Joel said
"Aww thankyou twin! Now you get out!" Joel pulled Axel out. Axel glared at me but I just smiled at him. Suddenly Joan slipped her arm to my waist hugging me with one arm.
It hurted me when she pressed my wound but I don't care. I needed her more. I kissed the side of her head and hugged her back.
"You okay?" She asked looking up to me
"I'm good" She smiled when I answered that
"Axel bought me a bagel earlier , let's share it"
"Why are you so hyper?" I asked
"I can't sit there and do nothing right? I'm bored anyway" She pulled me to the sofa
"Sorry" I stated and she turned to me
"Stop saying sorry"
"I was the one who should protect you not you protecting me Joan" I said and she smiled
"Do you like tuna? Cause I love tuna" She turned her head to the plastic. She took it with one hand and I took it from her. I helped her to open it since she can't open it with one hand anyway
"Everything is settle Nate , it's time for you to be happy" She stated and I turned to her
"I know , I'm working to get my happiness now Joan"
