Success isn't just about reaching a certain goal and reaping the obvious rewards. Sometimes there's a lot to be gained from an experience that goes way beyond the superficial trappings of success. For example, you need to think about who you met along the way, what you learned, how it contributed to your own evolution. Whether it provided inner fulfillment, and so on. Don't measure a recent experience simply by what it provided you tangibly, you must really consider what it gave you internally.
