If you always think about your fear, don’t think that you are fighting a fear, you are actually nurturing it. When you think about fear, you may tell yourself that it won't hold any power over you anymore, but by giving so much attention to it, you are giving it power. Instead of having a discussion with your fear about how it won't control you anymore, don't give it any time at all. When the fear comes calling, turn it away, and replace the thought with one that is hopeful and positive.
