Chapter 4

SUMMER ROMANCE

___________________________________________________________________

They say summer is always been the most romantic season and so I wish a love would born between us this summer.

Carissa packed up her things and ready to go home for summer vacation, while Alexander came to fetch her up. At the train station…

“So, Alexander, where will you be this summer?”

“Maybe I’ll be staying at school; we need to finish our homework and exams.”

“…Preparation for the graduation next year?”

“Hopefully. Wish me luck”

“I believe you could make it!

“You do cheer me up! Well, you’re my lucky charm!”

“Here you go again, teasing me.”

“I’m just kidding, Carissa. Anyways, before you go I have something for you”. Alexander handed a card to Carissa.

“What’s this for?”

“Read it when you get home”

“Okay! I need to go, the train is here. Bye”

Then they waved each other good bye and like the usual, Carissa watch Alexander’s silhouette fades. Afterward she settled herself in her seat and read the card. She could wait for it ‘til home.

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

Thou art lovelier and more temperate.

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.

Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often is his gold complexion dimmed;

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimmed:

But thy eternal summer shall not fade

Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st,

Nor shall Death brag thou wand’rest in his shade

When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st.

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

So ling lives this, and this gives life to thee.

I quoted this from Shakespeare-

I’ll miss you!

Alexander

Carissa giggled as he put the card closely to her chest.

When she arrived at their home, she went directly to her room and read the card again as she lie down on her bed. The next day, Carissa woke up with a sweet breeze welcomed her, then she realized that fell asleep while reading last night. She rose and put the card in a box, then rushed downstairs.
