Lost in thought: poetry from within

The Light Within

A/N: Recently guys I have been feeling very inspired by what God has been doing in my life recently. The holy spirit is working in me and I felt that it would be encouraging for you guys to hear this poem I wrote just a few minutes ago. I feel lighter as I have been reaching out for God and I hope that he can take the burden off your shoulders as well and touch your heart. Praise be to God and let everything I do be for him! Amen!!!

The Life Within

Where is this life headed?

Am I going down the right road?

It was a question I used to ask

frequently. It was a question I would

spend hours dwelling on.

I was hidden in the darkness while the

light tried to make it's way through.

I used to cover up the cracks.

Now all I want to do is soak up it's

shine as it continues to spring

through.

I want to bathe in it's sunshine. I want

to lay in it's light.

I long for it's comfort and crave for it's

touch.

It's more than a feeling. It touches my

soul. I feel it take off my burden.

The light is in me. The light is Jesus

and I am so thankful for it to be.
